I already have the chefs knife from mosfiata and thats been seeing a ton of use every day for quite a few months now. I usually don't care much about bread knives since I just push harder to cut and don't mind if the bread comes out a bit flattened. But lately I've started getting into bread making and realized if I wanted something to look presentable to people if I take it to work or family dinners I should probably get something a that works. Just like the chefs knife this one is great and for the price I couldn't be happer.Whats in the fancy looking box: The knife comes with a nice sheath that fits it really well so it doesn't fall off in the drawer. It also came with a bread lame which I had never seen or heard of so I had to look it up and it looks like it'll come in handy when I get to bread that needs the scoring on top. One thing that makes me go 'hmmm' is the knuckle guard that it came with. I don't think thats really needed for this type of knife but if you need a knuckle guard now you have one.

Love the nife and even though it's not real Damascus it is a nice blade that cuts without an issue. The only thing I have to say is that my set did nit come with the bread decorator as shown in the picture of the product. Also, the handle seems to be made out of some kind of mid level plastic but the price is right and the blade it self is fantastic

First the knife comes in a very nice box that would be appropriate by itself as a gift box. You open the box and the knife strikes you as, well, beautiful. I am a chef and that is not the word I would usually use to describe a knife but, well, it is. In the box is a protective sheath, a good idea since the knife is very sharp, more sharp than any bread knife you have ever used in most cases. There is an included finger guard too for added safety. Then comes the performance. I have used it to cut my homemade bread, brat buns, hotdog buns, Kayser rolls and cake. The soft breads like hotdog buns it slices easily without crushing them, no small feat, and the more dense artisan type breads can be easily cut as thin as you like. I tested it on other foods and it is sharp and capable, it easily trimmed a pineapple and a rutabaga, that tells you how good it is.

Not much else to say that isn't in the headline. This knife came so sharp I am able to cut through bread crust without even slicing, much less sawing! So beware of the edge, and don't discard the sheath it comes in.

Just got the knife. It has good weight. Haven't used it yet. Feels very sharp. There is a lot said on the website about this being German steel. There is mentioned several times about the German knife. Problem is it's made in China. The handle has a good finish. I guess it supposed to be Damascus knife? It's interesting the pattern ends in a fairly straight line at the bolster. After comparing my picture to one online, looks like the pattern is stamped. For that price I would be surprised if it was actual Damascus.

I bought this knife to compliment my set of damascus steel chef knives. I'm getting a magnetic knife holder so want all my knives on display to look good!I don't use the bread knife often so wasn't bothered about breaking the bank for a damascus steel one. This knife however matches my existing knives really well with its damascus effect.The design is stunning and the handle has a really nice smooth gloss feel to it. Its very sharp - no idea how well it will keep its edge, but as I said I don't use bread knives often enough that I'd worry.For the price I'm really impressed

This is a fabulous addition to our knife collection and merits a review. Beautifully crafted full tang steel blade with pretty decorative scrolling that echo some of our expensive Japanese folded carbon steel knives, but this one never tarnishes and you don't have to dry it immediately! With constant use, this is a must. Smooth finishing on the comfortable wood grain effect handle with inlaid brass flower details inset on the handle -- a lovely and unique touch that shows some craft went into the design. Now our go-to bread knife as the serrated blade tapers off thinly enough to cut smoothly without ripping handmade breads apart but has enough oomph and girth at the top, providing ballast to get through a crispy sourdough crust. Well worth it and well priced compared to the household names where you're paying a premium for advertising rather than paying for a premium item.

The craftsmanship of this knife, it is definitely a wow piece.It's lightweight and easy to hold and work with.It looks absolutely beautiful both in and outside the box, attention has been payed to every detail of both the physical knife and its presentation.It would make a gorgeous gift, however I Ordered d this one just for me, I've been cooking a lot more in lockdown and thought I deserved a few kitchen tool upgrades.At first I was drawn to the fact it was on promotion and after usiit I'd honestly pay full price and I'm looking to buy the whole set.I can't explain in words just how easy it is to hold or what it feels like in your hand. It's like it has the perfect balance. I now feel embarrassed that I've been using such subpar knives all this time.

Very good quality and very sharp knife. Beautiful handle and very well balanced. Be careful when cutting the crust on the bread - very sharp knife though could slip away a bit. The lame is ok too. The box is handy too as you could pack it if moving to a new place. Very pleased with this purchase.
