Smoke Screen

Jaime Pressly first got the world's attention in Not Another Teen Movie and Joe Dirt. She was the most beautiful new talent of the time. Her southern charm and lovely accent were positively received.She was older in this movie. No longer the young, fresh-faced ingeniue, she played a woman well into her career as a journalist/tv personality in South Carolina. Still beautiful though.The movie is standard murder mystery. It doesn't break any grounds but still worth your time to buy or rent. The two main leads, the charming city of Charleston, and the plot are worth it.

I like 16:9 and I like 5.1 surroundsound. What makes me think this is a made-for-TV movie is that it is an hour and a half and has blackscreen pauses for commercial transitions and there is no offensive talk. I like the action and violence. I like the shooting. I like the punching and kicking. I had to reject a 7 movies from the recommendations list because I had already watched them and there was a western that I removed from the list. The recommendation list of what Prime thinks I would like has become very reliable. Thanks.

I liked it. "Britt" played in the Mom tv comedy and loved her in that, so this was actually seeing her act in a serious role, well done. Overall, good movie.

Good movie mystery, good cast

So, right out of the gate, she wakes up next to a dead man - but, she doesn't even request a rape kit to help her story of innocence - and instead says her shower has erased all the evidence of rape. The script writers think the viewers are ignorant of where rape evidence is found?! There were some interesting twists in the movie. But when it started out so poorly done, the rest of it was tainted as well. But, if you just want to watch the buxom one for while, you may rate this movie as a 5 star.

Must have been a "made for TV" movie, with scene breaks in all the appropriate commercial break places. Lots of plot holes, one dimensional supporting characters; but Jaime is easy on the eyes and her acting is adequate, as was her male costar....but the two of them cannot make up for poorly written plot and lack of character development. Just a so-so film.

Suspenseful and engaging until the very end.

I enjoyed all the twists and turns in this movie. Jaime is a great actor as well. I think this might be the first movie I ever watched where she had such a prominent spot. Very well done, all around, imo
