this is the greatest single binocular accessory ever devised by man
This harness may not work for every body type which may be the reason for some of the negative reviews. Also I use it for hiking, biking and birding so if you are using it to hunt and really scrambling through the bush it may not work as well for you as some others designed more for hunting. But based on my extensive use, this is the greatest single binocular accessory ever devised by man. For me it makes even 10x50 Bins weightless. It did take a lot of experimentation and use to fine tune all the right adjustment for my body. I found that for me adjusting so that the bins rode as high on the chest as possible was best and helped keep everything in place and properly adjusted. So if you don't like it at first do experiment with ALL the adjustable features for the best possible fit and feel including as just one example the cords connecting the bins to the harness which should be adjusted to support about half the weight of the bin. if you don't properly adjust that feature, too much of the weight will be on your neck. Two other very important things. First do make sure to get the X version which is the one pictured, because it is much better than the older version with the single narrow strap down the back. Second I do disagree with the company's sizing guide. The product depicted here is the "regular" size which is way too big for anything smaller that a 10x50. I have and use both sizes. If you are going to use this for 42mm binoculars or smaller, you should get the Micro version. I think this is why some of the reviews say the binoculars won't stay in place in the case compartment, and the harness won't stay in proper adjustment and place on the body. In this regular version, I sometimes carry my 15x56 or even 14x40 Fujinon IS which are about the size of a cinder block. Actually the Micro version is a little bigger than it needs to be for my 8.5 x 42's and works well with a 10x50.Again, this may not be the best for every body type or for strenuously humping through heavy bush, but for me and my uses, this is an anti gravity binocular carrying device. i will never us a strap again on anything 30mm or larger.

Nice harness.
Harness fits nice with proper adjustment. I use it for hunting. Wish it were more hunter friendly. Color not right for hunting and the case has a flexible yet firm lip which is good for protection but a bit bulky while hunting. It doesnt ride up on the neck as much as others do, which is good for my neck injury. But the case part maybe could use some more thinking. I am a women so the case rests right in front of the breast area and causes unwanted bulk.

Great way to carry and get protect binoculars
This is the 2nd S4 Gear Lockdown I’ve owned. The first one purchased many years ago is still functional but the covering started to wear through in places. Great way to carry Canon 12x36 IS binoculars.

Quality Product
This was bought for my partner as she likes to carry binoculars while I am doing my photography. I was looking for a product that would take any load of her neck and certainly not have any side load on her light framed body as this tends to hurt her usually resulting in her neck going out a couple of days later. Pleased to say this design is perfect and keeps her hands free whilst not using the binoculars
