The Teeny-Tiny Woman (Folk Tale Classics) (Paul Galdone Nursery Classic)

I told this story to my class of preschoolers from my memory one day, and they were so infatuated by it that they kept asking me to tell it to them every day. I finally bought this book to read to them. It’s exactly as I remembered from when it was read to me as a young child, except this new version has a lovely autumnal hardcover. I am so happy to have it in my collection of folktales!

My grandkids LOVED this book as children so I was thrilled to find what I thought was an exact replacement of the lost treasure to eventually share with their kids. The kids would wait in anxious anticipation of the teeny tiny woman screaming "TAKE IT!" on the last page....but this print has the final line in normal typeface, destroying the ending. I scrawled "TAKE IT!" on the last page in huge letters to correct it but somehow it's not the same. (I am still happy to have found this with identical story and illustrations so I gave the book four stars.)

So excited to get this little book! Loved my mom reading it to me it when I was little (I’m 59) and now my grandsons love when I read it to them!

I bought this book for my expecting Granddaughter. She loved this book when she was small. She asked for children's books for her shower. She almost cried when she opened the present. She loved it!

This was my favorite book when I was a child. My sister read it so quick she would get tongue tied. My grandsons loved it!

My son asked "and what happened next?" Absolutely no plot. It's so plotless it is funny.
