Self conscious of my stinking hair .
It smells awful . I couldn’t believe it . I could smell it myself and was conscious at work that I stank of petrol or something. Thank God the staff were wearing masks . Half decent job of holding the style but nothing at all special for the money . The sheerness was average at best . But will not use it again as the smell actually made me feel a bit queasy. Big mistake .

LUXURY PRODUCT AT A LUXURIOUS PRICE...
I am often sceptical when it comes to 'Luxury' Men's products as it often means style over content and less value for money with the price being a major factor when compared with similar mass marketed brands. I must confess I have never heard of the Pankhurst range before, but apparently it is well thought of amongst the London 'smart' set, originating as it does from a Soho Barber shop run by Brent Pankhurst. But do the products live up to the Hype?I must admit the packaging is stylish - this conditioner comes in a metallic bottle with a Black matt finish and is smaller than I expected containing only 100 ml, but this may be somewhat countered by the small amount needed per use.My first reaction when i opened the bottle and took a tentative sniff was the subtle, not in your face masculine aroma. Pankhurst's signature aroma is Bay Rum and lime, and this runs through all of their products. It is not harsh at all, and actually lasts for some time after application. It is a discreet, discerning smell which I instantly took a liking to. Fresh and relaxing.I have used it on both wet and Dry hair, my preference being for the latter, but that is a personal thing and as I have my hair relatively short it seemed the best option for me. It does leave the hair feeling soft and nourished and of course fresh smelling ! I have naturally thin hair, and rather than thickening the hair strands, however, it did seem to clump the hair together in my case.Overall though, I think this is a good product which I would not have thought of buying were it not for the opportunity to review it. So would I buy it of my own accord? I do think it is overpriced somewhat, and being of limited income I don't think I could justify spending £19 on such a product when there is a wider, cheaper range of similar men's hair care products that do the same thing equally well. As a mid-range luxury product however, it is perfectly acceptable if you hanker after this type of thing. The scent is the main thing for me... and if you want that something special as a gift or for special occasions this would be a good choice.

I'm Not Sold on the Claims
Aside from the fact that the third ingredient is silicone, this is a product that will show results for straight or wavy hair.I came across the use of silicone after receiving the product. It adds a natural looking shine and smoothness to certain hair types. Of course, the silicone is responsible for the sleek look and the product feels very slippery and the scent is masculine and woody.Silicone oil is not suited for damaged or curly hair. The large molecular structure of silicone makes the plastic structure seal around and creating a scale-like smoothing protective layer. Though it cannot penetrate into the depth of the hair. The most damaging of the varieties of silicone is dimethicone which is waterproof. This product contains this form.It creates a barrier on the surface of your hair making it difficult for other nourishing products to gain entry into the hair. It should be avoided with anyone with dry or itchy scalps too as it can trigger an irritation or allergy as it.gradually builds up over time with continual use and is difficult to remove. To use this form of silicone along with the nourishing wheat proteins this contains makes little sense as the wheat is somewhat stifled by the silicone. It may give shorterm results but the wheat has little to do with this.It does have it's advantages too, such as being heat protective and frizz easing in humidity. It also gives your hair a light reflective shine as it bounces off the layer coating your hair. The longer you use silicone products the denser the layer coating your hair becomes. As a long term user of leave in conditioners and natural oils, I was sold on this product after reading the description before I ordered it.They imply that, with the wheat protein it is less damaging than gel, which isn't the case, especially for all hair types; and that it continuously feeds the hair from root to tip. This is why I ordered it.But it's not like a natural product. Because it isn't natural.3 stars

Luxury item.
As a hairdresser and barber I was very interested in trying this product. This has definitely been aimed for the high end luxury market with mentions of James Bond and a typical English gentleman, (the one that shops in Bond Street maybe) in the bio. It is presented extremely well in a light weight expensive looking black metal canister and certainly looks like a quality product. When I did my Vidal Sassoon cutting course in London we asked why they had a well known body lotion on each section. This was their thing to use after a cut to calm down fluffy hair, to separate and texture the hair without using a heavy product to keep the hair feeling natural but more finished. This is very reminiscent to that but now it’s a specific product designed for that instead of using a body lotion. This is recommended for medium to long hair but I experimented on my sons short hair. It’s got a pleasant manly “aftershave” smell. It doesn’t leave a greasy/sticky residue on your hands as some waxes, putty, gell products do. It’s easy to apply and feels just like conditioner. Less is more. It hasn’t got much, if any, hold to it so shouldn’t be compared to gell. If you are a wash and go person and you want to condition your hair so your hair doesn't dry fluffy then this is perfect for that. Lost a star for the limited market audience as it’s so high end and expensive.
