Galileo is an amazing photography and video conferencing accessory for iPhone and GoPro. How are those related? Well, Galileo has two motors that allow you to pan and tilt with a high degree of control. This makes it perfect for rotating your GoPro while taking time-lapse video and awesome for controlling an iPhone remotely during a video call. Video conferencing can be a lot better if only the remote person could actually control what the camera is pointed at. Well, with Galileo and our partner apps, you can actually control the orientation of the remote camera during a video call. You control what you see with a tap of your finger. With the Galileo SDK, lots of app developers have integrated their apps with Galileo for even more use cases. From remote monitoring to multi-camera video shoots to face tracking, the possibilities are endless!

Does not work with iPhone 6
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The product looks good and feels good in the hands. From the appearance, it's a nicely built piece of electronics. But that's all that's good about it. The first unit I received was defective. I attached an iPhone 6 (not the Plus) to it and when the phone is in landscape mode, the motor isn't strong enough to tilt the phone up once it gets pass a certain point. You can hear the motor struggling, trying to turn, but the phone was too heavy for it to tilt. This was supposed to be designed to support iPhone 6. You can see in the attached video how it struggles with tilting the phone. The other problem I don't like about the Galileo is the short battery life, even when NOT in use. I fully charged the unit, then left it in my drawer for about 2 days. It wasn't used during those 2 days, but the battery drained itself out. The battery is built into the unit and cannot be replaced. So for almost $150, I'd expect either better quality battery and / or replaceable so that I don't have to convert this into a paperweight a few months later because the battery died on me. Finally, the manufacturer's lack of support and customer focus is concerning to me. Upon contacting the manufacturer via phone, email, and online posting on their support website with regard to my defective unit, I got no response back in 2 weeks. I'm returning the product to the seller and getting a replacement. I will update my review after I receive the replacement unit. But frankly, I'd be hard pressed to give it anything higher than 2 stars due to poor customer service if nothing else.

A very poor option when use a home surveillance
It will be 5 stars if there a way to charge iPhone when in the Motrr cradle. A very poor option when use a home surveillance. I bought PresencePro in app for iPhone - they were advertising for Motrr Galileo. Not be taken in - no doubt it works but it is very impractical when the iPhone battery life is a concerned.

Very good at what I wanted
I got this to 360 degree pano "sphere's". It does a reasonable job considering the work involved with a real camera, tripod and other software out there. I mainly do interiors so the stitching of the spheres could be a little better but the trade off is that I spend minutes instead of hours getting a result.I don't have other iOS devices, so haven't tried it as a telepresence yet.

Great device.
I don't use it much, but it works exactly as described. My only "complaint" is that it doesn't come with any apps, you have to get them separately. All the Motrr app does it connect with the other apps, I think. The spherical app is really interesting but you can only view them from their web site, at least that's what I found. The pano app, makes a JPEG and you can access it yourself. Yea!

motion tracking like the videos
I bought the Motrr Galileo specifically to be able to do object tracking with the Videography app. Doesn't work. I tried duplicating the color, motion tracking like the videos, no luck. The Motrr disconnects from the app while trying to program the app. No support from either Motrr or Videography. So far, it's a $160 paper weight. A little less hype and a lot more tech support is needed.
