Q: Do you measure by weight or volume? Or the powder one way and the water the other?

By dry measure and then I tweak it to a consistency that I need for the situation. If I want a slope I mix it thicker so it doesn't flow down hill. Be aware this also speeds up the kick time (working time). If I am pouring a flat level surface I will make it as directed which is a little on the thin side. If you make it thin make certain the surface you are working on is level. Like water it will seek the lowest level. It will be level on the top so it is some what self leveling. I hope this info is what you need!

Q: What is the set time on this product?

Setting time varies depending on thickness and size of the mold. Usually the "doneness" is determined by touch. Ultracal gets hot as it begins to set. As soon as it is cold to the touch, you can unmold. But it's strongly advised to let the mold cure for 24 hours.

Q: Would this work in Taxidermy purposes as in fixing antler tips or is it not strong enough?

it makes a very think pourable liquid. I don't know how it might work with taxidermy unless you were pouring it into a mold.

Q: Can this be used in latex molds?

I use it in silicone molds. Not sure if latex is similar or not.
