Worked great
In 2013, I purchased the Mini Display Port to DVI Adapter, a simple yet functional accessory that served its purpose without any fuss. While my use of it was relatively short-lived, it performed admirably during the time it was in action. The adapter seamlessly connected my Mini Display Port-enabled device to a DVI display, allowing for clear and reliable video output. The compact design of the adapter made it convenient for travel or on-the-go use, fitting easily into my bag without adding much bulk. The build quality was sturdy, and the connection points were robust, ensuring a stable link between my device and the DVI display. Although I didn't use it extensively, the Mini Display Port to DVI Adapter met my needs efficiently whenever I called upon it. While technology has evolved since then, and newer standards have emerged, this adapter proved itself as a reliable and functional solution for its time.

CAUTION - Some GPUs only allow use of one mini-DP port at a time.
I bought two of these because my GPU has 2xminiDP outputs on the back of the unit. But after trying to configure a triple-monitor setup I learned that my graphics card (HD 7950) doesn't allow you to use both mini-DP ports at the same time for some reason (bandwidth?). So I rationalized the purchase of two by storing away the second one in case things go south with the first (will update review if that happens). Anyhow, the cable works great and EyeFinity works fine. To get the three monitors up and running i used: 1xDVI, 1xmini-DP(using this cable to convert to DVI to plug into monitor) and 1xHDMI. Only with this combination was I able to get it working. I'm getting mild, intermittent tearing on two of the monitors, but since i can't be certain it has to do with the cable itself it won't affect my review. I've read this is due to the DVI, HDMI and mini-DP ports' frequencies occasionally getting out of sync. Also, the cable is super-short (serious design flaw for 99% of people i'd imagine) you'll probably want to buy a DVI male-to-male 6ft extension so it will reach your monitor. No USB dongle for power required. Good buy for the money i suppose. PM me if you have similar hardware and have questions.

Works without any problems
I bought two monitors here on Amazon and one of them had a stuck pixel. Amazon agreed to send me a new one and let me keep the defective one until the new one came. The defective one still worked mostly, so once I got the replacement for a brief and the first time in my life, I was able to have three monitors of all the same model. My graphics card has the DVI ports and an HDMI port, so I tried using those to hook up all three monitors at the same time, however it didn't work. After some research it turns out that you need to use a display port(which my graphics card also has) to do that. So I went to Best Buy and bought one. Apparently you need an active adapter in order to use three monitors with EyeFinity how I wanted, and the one at Best Buy was only a passive adapter. So I bought this one and hooked it up, and everything worked beautifully. I was able to set ATI's EyeFinity to use all three monitors. Sadly, it just extended one desktop across all three monitors, so my start menu was on the left side of the left monitor and the clock was on the right side of the right monitor. It also maximized windows completely across all three monitors, which was extremely weird especially when browsing the web. I couldn't figure out anyway to have them all act as separate monitors like you can with only two monitors. Anyway, that's not a fault of this adapter, I believe that's just how EyeFinity is.This adapter worked great and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs one.

Works for my Radeon HD6870
I have a Radeon HD 6870 and this adapter allows me to run 3 monitors currently off my single 6870. Seeing as the only games I will play are Steam Source engine games performance is not a huge concern for me. This little adapter got the job done and currently there are no big issues with it.One thing I did find annoy with the product is if you were to bump your cord it will momentarily disconnect the monitor and you will lose display. I have had a few occasions when I would go and bump the cord on my desk accidentally and find out that I have lost one of my displays. So I would say if you could some how tighten up the minidisplay connection to seat better in the card that would be great. But otherwise this is a great product and get the job done for cheap. And big empasis on the pricing on this. At the time of purchase this adapter is a lot cheaper than the rest of the equivalent ones out there.

Excellent adapter for an office PC with three monitors.
I purchased this mini displayport to DVI adapter for a custom computer I built for my office that had three monitors that needed connected. I have an XFX ATI Radeon R9 270 video card in the computer. That video card only comes with 2 DVI ports, 1 HDMI, and 1 mini display port. In order to get all three monitors working I needed to take one of the DVI monitors and connect it to the the mini display port. It works like a charm and once the drivers for the video card were properly installed, the computer has never once had a video display issue since. I have played video games using AMD's Eyefinity setup as well as having all three monitors in use with office programs and always it's worked perfectly.Keep in mind that this is an "ACTIVE" adapter. That means it is converting an analog based signal to pure digital. If you have an analog DVI signal coming from the monitor, you will need this or any other ACTIVE adapter to connect it to a display port. Otherwise if you purchase a non active adapter, the signal from the monitor to the video card will not work at all.
