Amazon Basics TPE Yoga Mat, 1/4"

Simple yoga mat, does the job and is very reasonably priced. The green mat is more fluorescent then the product image suggests.I was apprehensive ordering this as one of the reviewers said it's difficult to get it in it's carry bag. It does take a bit of finesse as the mat is rubbery, but it took me about 30 seconds on first try and didn't give me much frustration. Pictured is the mat.

It’s great, does what it sets out to do!Would have liked a cheap storage strap as it’s pretty impossible to keep stored without one, unless you want the mat permanently on your floor.

very comfy while exercising, doesn’t slip

I already have an Arteesol exercise mat so I can compare with this amazon basic yoga mat.It’s slightly longer than arteesol (about 6cm or 2.25inches) but apart from that, it’s almost exactly the same in terms of width and thickness.It’s a non slip mat as it has the pattern like wheel surface exactly the same as arteesol so when I use it for Pilates, it is perfectly okay such as my hands and feet are not slipping out of position. So it can be used for yoga or pilates or any exercise.At the back, it has slightly less wave pattern but it’s okay for Pilates.It's very light to carry and the one I have is a nice bright colour tooIt’s basic but perfectly functional. Price unknown as of late April 2020 but sure to be competitive

I had been needing a new yoga mat so I was really excited when this mat showed up on my list. I can honestly say that it doesn’t disappoint, in fact it’s probably the best yoga mat that I’ve ever owned, and you’re talking over 10 years of practicing yoga.So what makes this mat better and unique than your average mat?Well to start off with it’s much thicker than any other yoga mat I’ve owned. I am so used to thin mats that I really believed that being uncomfortable when on the floor, and being able to feel your tailbone digging into the ground was normal. Wow what a difference with this mat! It’s actually padded, which means being on the floor to practice my stretches is far more comfortable and relaxing. I am able to concentrate more on what I am doing, and am not distracted by any pain or discomfort.It’s also much longer than any other mats, which is especially great if you are 5ft 6in or taller. It means I have more room to move about and stretch my legs out thoroughly whilst sideways on the mat, and my feet are still both on the mat, as opposed to hanging off like with other mats.The colour is nice also- a nice muted red yet pigmented enough that it’s eye catching and relaxing too. I wouldn’t want one any brighter than this.I also love the fact that it comes with a breathable mesh carry bag that closes via a drawstring and toggle top.It’s then easy to carry around with me when wanting to take it to the beach or the woods.The price point is fabulous actually for the quality, I’m assuming lower than usual because it’s an Amazon own product rather than a big name sports brand. But that just works in buyers favour, as they are buying quality rather than a name.I’d recommend this mat to anybody who is a fan of yoga, Pilates, or even just at home ab workouts etc that requires floor work.

I don't do yoga, but I do need a mat for doing floor exercises like leg lifts and this really is good for that. It is long enough for me to lie full stretch on with room to spare. It would do the same for most average height people, but taller folk might feel it a bit of a close fit.One side is rippled to make it effectively non-slip on a smooth floor and the other is smooth, but still non-slip from the point of view of an exercise surface.The thickness is adequate so that even on a hard floor it offers a slightly cushioned feel, but not one that gets in the way of whatever exercise you want to do.There is a bag included which helps restrain its innate desire to unroll when not in use as well as offering an easy method of carrying it around.I can't comment on how it rates for value for money as at the time of posting there is no price listed, but I would say this is a very good product and would certainly make it into the medium price range for such things in my opinion.
