This pen is an amazing pen and great value for money
I have 200 fountain pens and use this one every day - my go to pen and the nib and construction is class and awesome value for money

A writing tool, of class, and quality
it was a tad over the top, price-wise, I thought, at first. Then, it arrived, - and, I realised why. If you want QUALITY, you have to pay for it. This is well worth the money, - it oozes "CLASS"

The ink cartridge is not standard, and my pen is not suitable.

Get what you pay for.
Good pen, but ink flow is somewhat iffy. Can't change/remove the nib as it is fixed so tightly.

value for money, recommend
The helix fountain pen is perfect for everyday school/office. The nib is smooth, the weight (unposted) and the diameter of the grip section is just right for me. The inner plastic cap came off on the first day. When you post the pen, and rotate the body against the cap, the inner cap is unscrewed and comes off with the end of the body. To screw the inner cap back onto the outer, push the inner cap into the pen front until you feel the click. Apply glues if you want. Then push the outer cap in and rotate the body and cap in the way shown in the picture. The nib tine was very tight, and made some ink skipping. Holding the two shoulders of the nib with your hands and spreading the tine a bit increase the ink flow. This pen is metal bodied, well balanced and great value for money, it has become my go-to pen.

Writes nice but drips too much.
For such a cheap fountain pen, this writes absolutely lovely. Very smooth and much better than the Parker equivalent (Vector) which I’ve always found a tiny bit scratchy on the paper. However, on the down side it does seem a little bit generous with its ink distribution. So much so that even pulling the lid off (which is quite stiff to remove) a tad too vigorously will cause tiny little flecks of ink to spatter across whatever is in the local area, which remain largely unnoticed until you smear the side of your hand through them and steak them across the page. It also drips ink out when putting the lid back on, resulting in an increasing amount of ink swilling around in there, which inevitably also ends up on your hands when you remove the lid and grip the pen to write. The leak problem is a shame because it’s a very nicely balanced pen and writes great. Maybe it’s just me when I’m in a hurry! I’ll see if I can practice removing the lid a little less aggressively in future...Overall it’s a great pen if you’re willing to treat it like a delicate little flower and handle it extremely gently at all times.
