First, let me preface by saying that this one item is probably the single most coolest item that I have ever purchased anywhere. I needed this for my ninja training and it does not disappoint. You don't know the ways of the ninja so applications are not transparent to you, but let me assure you that it is an essentially life saving item for the unseen warrior of the night. It does what it was forged to do and that gives this covert mercenary one less conflict to worry about when trying to advance or retreat. It is large, sturdy and strong. It stay open or stays collapsed with the twist of the hilt. It fit perfectly on a accessory belt. It is stated that a “successful ninja is one who uses but one tool for multiple tasks.” This tool fulfills that creed.

Tested it, it's sharp and strong light weight easy to work and throw it held up a 750 lb weight

This looks to be tough enough to handle about any size rope attached to it. If you're going to try to hook it to a chain and pull with a truck or tractor you're on your own. The only thing I did not like about it is the claws are shorter then a previous one I have which is no longer available meaning its ability to randomly grab a target to be pulled is slightly reduced.

Its smaller than I expected . But it is good quality and works as I anticipated..Easy store design is nice. And it works as expected...So. Easy to throw. And anchored as I had hoped.

Very well built; folds to compact size for easy carry in a back pack opens all or individual claws. Claws are designed to grip anything they can get their teeth into!

this is awesome for casual outdoor use. i don't climb great heights but i am outdoors nearly every day with my wife and we had a great time getting to know this grappling hook - used it to grapple on trees and climb back up steep hills we were exploring. it's quite heavy and strong, and my brother wants one for Christmas now so there's that :)

I did not receive the carabiner with the grappling hook. Customer service promptly contacted me and sent me the missing carabiner. The grappling hook and carabiner work great and I rate them five stars.
