Great story. Loved it. lots of action, and the Good guy wins. 1st watch 01/23/2023.

Bruce still gets the occasional big role like the hit Glass from 2019 but it seems like Mr. Willis is up to something else. I've noticed several movies on Prime with Willis listed as the first name or among the first giving the impression he is the star of the film or at least has a significant role. However, in these movies Willis is playing some type of law enforcement but the role is minor and is just in a support role for the main good guy of the movie. I'm guessing he gets a very nice payday for no more than a few days of work and selling the movie as a Bruce Willis movie. Not hating, good on him.The movie is a pretty decent action flick of good guy trying to get revenge against evil guy. Nothing ground breaking but if you like these kind of movies you will probably like this one. Just don't go into it thinking it is a Bruce Willis movie as your reason for watching.

You've seen this flapping turkey before. My biggest complaint is that i bought it instead or renting it via Netflix, cuz this is a one shot deal. Bruce Willis looked like he was on pain killers and never fired a round in this routine good guy on the run from the baddied. I counted three times when the heroes (a fireman who saw murders committed and a nicely-shaped US marshal who falls for the big lug) scuffle and lose their weapons and watch them skid across the smooth floor. Once, maybe, not three times in a movie. Willis could have been replaced with a cardboard cutout and we would have gotten the same visual results. Time for him to retire.One major plus, the bad guy and his pack of blood-thirsty goons are terrific. They radiate evil and you want them to perish by the sword and slowly. I won't give away the main villain's name but he was in 'Full Metal Jacket' and he was masterful as the head whacko - one problem, not enough mayham by the vicious pack of mad dogs to really make them stand out among mad dog movie killeers - still, not too shabby as bad guys often make the film memorable.Basic plot line that has been run over by Hollyweird writers scores of times over the decades, tired dialog and lots of mumbling draw this one down two stars and that modern director's flawed fast, lets strain older viewer's eyeballs type camera work knocks this down another half star. A few loose ends, some decent shoot-em ups (without old Bruce bustin' caps) and some vile baddies waiting to die make this one watchable - one time. Anyone want to buy a slightly used DVD in excellent condition? Only viewed once.

My husband and I enjoyed this movie - for what it is. It's a (or should be) low-budget straight-to-DVD movie.But...the acting is pretty good. I especially enjoyed Vincent D'Onofrio in a bad guy role. And he was an Aryan very bad guy in this film. Josh Duhamel was the protagonist of the film and he played a fairly inept average Joe for about 2/3 of the movie. Then vengeance mode kicked in and he went after the bad guys that dared threaten his girl and his best friends.Bruce Willis had a very minor role but he was good in it.So - watching this made for a good movie night with hubby. We both enjoyed the film. And how often does that happen?

Off the bat I liked the 5.1 before even starting. Then I liked the 16:9 fullscreen video. I like the action and violence. As expected there is fire and explosions. I like the shooting. I like the punching and kicking. I like the fast moving car with subsequent explosion.I got an email with four movie recommendations. All were what I like. I have the other three in my Blu-ray library. Wish there was a way to let Amazon know that I own these.I was upset to see that WATCH NEXT was absent from my Sony Amazon app yesterday but it showed up today and this fired up movie was the one to watch next. yay

'Fire with Fire' works in many ways good except for one; the romance between Coleman and Durham just gets in the way and takes up way too much time out of the main story. This film could have worked out a lot better without so much emphasis on Talia Durham, or at least the character might have been conceived as much more of a badass. But yes to the politics of the film. If a repeat offender violent criminal deserves justice but none can be had via the usual legal channels, then their victims are justified in taking matters into their hands, although this course of actions is certainly not without its perils as it diminishes the value of the all-important law and justice.

This movie could have been a lot better, with these wonderful actors.It isn't as good as Law and Order ,or Las Vegas or Die Hard. The second movie , I have seen lately where D'Onofrio plays a psychopath. Why? Why would you do this. Scared me half to death. They don't come more evil. This is an action adventure, love story, witness protection, good guy , bad guy movie. It's very dark as in without color, also. You don't teach someone to shoot and then, he all of a sudden, can kill everyone with one shot right between the eyes. That part is not believable.

Pretty good action/thriller about a local fireman after witnessing brutal murders, has to testify against a major crime lord, but as he is placed in a witness protection program, his new i.d. is compromised thus forcing him to take action against the crime syndicate to get his life back and to protect the ones he loves. With Bruce Willis, Josh Duhamel, Vincent D'Onofrio, Rosario Dawson, Vinnie Jones and a few more. (2012, English and Français languages with respective subtitles, 97 mins.)

Non avevo grandi aspettative da questo film,ma mi devo totalmente ricredere dopo la visione,mi sono trovato di fronte ad un ottimo action movie,con un ottimo Josh Duhamel(il sergente in transformers)nella parte del vendicatore,un strepitoso Vincent D'onofrio nel carnefice nazista,una brava Rosario Dawson nella parte della poliziotta amante di Josh,mentre Bruce Willis fa il poliziotto in un ruolo secondario ma molto efficace.Se amate i film d'azione con sfondo vendicativo questo film fa al caso vostro!Blu ray ottimo sul fronte visivo,un po meno nell'audio con solo un D.D 5.1,Extra quasi assenti.

Un film réalisé sur le thème du témoignage d'un citoyen, qui face à la violence tient bon et ferme et va jusqu'au bout de sa démarche. Par contre, lorsqu'il est menacé par l'intermédiaire de ses amis et de sa fiancée, la donne change et "l'agneau" se transforme en "loup". Quand le bon droit et la justice sont inefficaces, alors régler son problème par soi-même et d'une façon définitive devient une évidence. Non, on ne peut pas lui donner tort ! Si la forme est discutable, le fond, quand à lui, est justifié. Alors, quand votre métier vous a tout appris, il ne vous reste plus qu'à vous replonger dans vos connaissances. Recommandé.

Bruce Willis hat eine finde ich total unwichtige Rolle und kommt auch seltner vor. Die Rolle hätte man einsparen können, da er bei keiner Actionszene dabei ist. Die Hauptrolle spielt Josh Duhamel. Einige Szenen sind sehr gut gemacht! Aber ab 18 ist ein Blödsinn.Die Version ist locker ab 16 möglich. Ich verstehe die FSK überhaupt nicht; oder wurde was weggeschnitten? Dann kann der Film aber nicht ab 18 angegeben werden.
