Best grip for small frame
These grips are perfect for a Smith and Wesson J frame honestly amazed how well they fit my hand but also the decrease of recoil was impressive. Ended up getting for a Ruger LRC as well it's a different model but same general grip and feel. Totally suggest these to anyone who feels the gun is snappy.

Much better for my hand
Bought these for my S&W 642 Airweight and am very happy.I've seen people comain that these are hard to install and feel like plastic.Neither of these are true. The hardest part of the installation was finding my small Allen wrenches to get the factory screw out and then removing the factory grip pin from the bottom of the frame without a punch. Neither of which are an issue of the Pachmayr grips. They seated very well on my j frame. As for feeling like plastic, no, they do not and they are not plastic. They are tacky rubber much like I new bicycle tire. They do LOOK A little plastick-y at first but after handling for just a few minutes, the sheen starts to fade and the tacky feeling gets better. As for performance, for my hand, they are much better. That extra inch or so really make a difference in control and even trigger break feel. It also gives a better hand setup for 2 handed grip, much more like my 9mm than a snubby.Final complaint I've seen is that the grips make it harder to conceal. Personally I find this to be snobbery or nit picking or both. The bottom of the grip is fat but no more than the cylinder itself so it doesn't add any noticible carry thickness in my IWB holster or Fobus paddle holster. It might be a more realistic issue for a pocket holster but personally I don't like those to begin with so I can't be one to say. The grip size also makes a much better quick grab from both of my holsters (exactly why I don't like in pocket holsters)All in all, I am pleased and would by more if I had more revolvers to put them on.

This is a good product
The grip is a bit flimsy at the top on the right side. Left side fits great. You have to pull the pin out at the bottom of gun handle and replace it with the supplied pin that is narrower in order to get the handle frame down into the rubber grip. Didn't se any instructions on doing this. But I eventually figured it out. Great grips for reducing the recoil of my 357. Easier to hang on to the gun and even adds a better look to the pistol.

Works wonderfully to absorb recoil
Absorbs recoil really well and makes it much more pleasant

Better than the factory grips
An improvement on tiny factory grips, but not very well designed. Too bulbus at the bottom with not enough meat at the top. They should have had the rubber go all the way up the back strap because the wideness at the bottom forces you hand up. After a few shots, you have the metal frame in the we of your hand. Also, the rubber at the top is pretty flimsy and doesn't stay tight to the frame so a lot of gunk and debris is going to make it's way under the grip, I suspect.

Pointable, concealable, and very shootable!
If you plan on doing much shooting with your Smith & Wesson J-frame, this is the grip to get. This is the third set of grips that I've tried on my revolver, and these are the ones I'll be sticking with. While they aren't as easy to conceal as a shorter "boot" style grip, the added palm swell and pinkie extension makes the revolver much more pointable. That added finger extension puts you on target much faster than fumbling around with your pinkie hanging free. Most important of all is the deaccelerator. I'm not sure how Pachmayr did it, but these grips really soften the "bite" that comes with a small-frame .38 special. The last time I took my j-frame to the range, I went through about 150 rounds of ammunition with no adverse affects to my palm. With the old boot grips I had been using before, just ten rounds would have been painful - like catching fastballs with no glove. In fact, the only adverse affect was the callous I developed on my index finger from the S&W's long, heavy trigger pull!I pocket carry an all-steel S&W Model 60 with this grip every day. It's a little bit large, but I have no issues with printing even with this grip. I'd recommend using a good pocket holster if that's how you chose to carry; I recommend the Elite Survival Pocket Holster for Ruger LCR and 2-Inch J Frame Revolvers, Black , although use whatever works best for you.The only real downside to these grips is that you have to remove the roll pin from your revolver before they can be installed. Unlike with other grips, this set uses a screw that goes through the hole in the frame where the roll pin is located from the factory. You will absolutely need to use a set of roll pin punches to remove this. I had never used a punch before purchasing this grip, and I had to special order a set to be able to complete the installation (apparently, no one at Home Depot has heard of a roll pin punch). The packaging has instructions on how to install the grips, as well as a URL to an instructional video on how to install the grips. Just expect to have to fight your pin a bit to get it out - the man in the video just taps it once with this punch and hammer and it falls out with ease. In real life, if your revolver is anything like mine, you'll a few minutes to get the blasted thing out!
