At the conclusion of "The Day of the Doctor," the Eleventh Doctor meets the Curator, the mysterious guardian of the painting now revealed to be called: Gallifrey Falls No More. The Curator seems to know a lot more about the Doctor than he lets on, a mystery that still remains unsolved. This 5-inch tall figure recreates the mysterious Curator, played by Fourth Doctor actor Tom Baker, and comes with a lenticular Gallifrey Falls painting and walking stick. Officially licensed Doctor Who collectible.

The Fourth Doctor returns as "The Curator"
This was a completely unexpected release, while Character Options/Underground Toys has mostly abandoned their great 5 inch line of Doctor Who figures, on occasion they still put out a great figure in the scale, this is one of them. The figure looks great and has a likeness very close to Tom Baker's look in the episode, The paint apps are pretty good, but there are a couple of problems, the stripes on the shirt are messy in a few places, on the plus side you do really have to look for the mistakes, also mine came with a small paint rub on his nose, not a huge deal and probably easy to touch up, but it's somewhat annoying. The painting doesn't quite replicate the live video effect that you see in the episode but, what can you do? the lenticular image still looks great and is the closest way to replicate the look of the painting in toy form, it does look good on display, and has tabs that will allow you to mount it easily for display. All in all a great release, that is worth picking up.

Not bad.
It's a good likeness to Tom Baker as he appeared in the episode, the sculpt and paint are consistent with the 5" Character Options range which is mostly lovely. The lenticular "Gallifrey Falls" painting is a lovely idea, but the lenticular effect doesn't really work how they've made it; it mostly looks like a mess of red and orange. I might look into making a static image to replace it with.

My Favorite Doctor Who Action Figure
It’s Tom Baker at his recent best as the ‘Curator.’ It also has a very cool accessory which I will leave as a surprise. A super value and great purchase.

The Curator
The curator and the painting. The surprise at the end of the Day of the Doctor, Tom Baker comes back as a future version of the Doctor? This little figure is a very good likeness of Tom Baker. The painting, Gallfrey Falls, no more, it a bit difficult to see when you look at it. It mostly a red confusion of color. The action figure is really nice.

Captures Iconic moment.
Decent likeness of iconic, on so many levels, Dr. Who moment. I have it set up with a fourth doctor fiqure just to left of painting. In hic first episode and this he touches his nose. " Who knows?"

The nose knows!
Nose! ( The only thing I am disappointed in is that the arm socket wasn't deep enough and I will need to make it deeper, I have done it with other toys so I am not knocking down the stars!
