Q: One review says the material isn't actually real leather as per the listing, could any other buyers confirm based on smell /texture etc?

There is no clear smell of leather but the item is well made and stitched. It certainly looks and feels like leather with the inner layer looking like suede. Both layers are machine stitched. Made in China and good value.

Q: Will they fit a 9 inch wrist

I’ve just measured my husband’s watch and the whole length including the watch face is just short of 9 inches. Think you need a longer strap.

Q: Are they long length?

From end to end the strap, including my watch, is 9 and a half inches in length or 23cm. I have thin wrists but was able to wear the watch with no problems. Just one tip, the watch straps come with new pins to fit your existing watch. My original watch pins were a bit larger than those sent with the strap. So check first before disposing of the old pins.
