Q: Do these boots have good traction in the snow?

Yes, GoreTex lined. I have had the all Cordura Outbacks for over 15 years. They are not insulated, but they are totally waterproof. My soles are different than the new ones - mine have great traction on wet rocks and logs. I have hunting Minnesota, Canada, the mountains of NC and TN in them. Very light and comfortable. You should try them on with various socks you might wear, in case you plan to use very thick socks to two socks in very cold weather.

Q: Can they be used for hunting in snowy enviroment?

Thank you for your interest in Rocky Boots. This style, FQ0008729, is not an insulated boot. With that, I wouldn't suggest wearing them for hunting in the snow. Q: What’s the difference between w and wi sizes?
