Works well with glass top desks
Really good, heavy duty keyboard tray. It was easy to install. It fits my desk perfectly. I have the Ashley furniture Baraga desk that I ordered from Amazon. It has a 2 inch metal bar about 2 inches behind the lip, and the glass surface is a quarter inch thick. I had to buy a clamp-on tray because of the metal bar and I was concerned that the glass desk surface would be too thin for the clamps. These clamps are fit perfectly and they have a slight suction action to them which works well on the glass. Also, because the tray is adjustable, I can drop my keyboard below the 2 inch metal bar with no problem. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that the slide out mechanism is a little uneven and I've already had to re-tighten the screws after just 2 months.

Carbon Fiber Model is *Really* Nice - Must Use Mousepad
This is the second VIVO under desk keyboard I've purchased.I purchased the non-expanded height model in 2022. This newer carbon fiber model (purchased in 2024) with LED accent lights (which I don't use) with expanded height adjustment possibilities is much better! It comes in a really big box because the keyboard tray is one big piece. It is very sturdy.I am super happy with this keyboard tray. It has added to my happiness with working at my standing desk. Please know about these two items that I missed taking into account before I made this purchase:1. Check the measurements of anything you will keep on your desktop. I have a very nice leather pad that sits on my desktop. It creates a comfortable surface for writing a resting my hands on - better than just wood. Before installing this keyboard tray I used to keep the desk pad flush against the front edge of the desk. My desk pad is about 5cm too wide. I can't keep it flush against the front edge of my desk anymore because the desk mount clamps of the keyboard tray prevent this. This is **not** a flaw with the keyboard tray. I only bring this up so that you take it into account when you make your purchase.2. If you buy the carbon fiber model, you **MUST** use a mouse pad.I haven't used a mouse pad since mice moved from a physical ball to a light sensor ...maybe 20 years ago?Well, the carbon fiber causes the light to 'skip' as it goes over the mesh of the carbon fiber weave of the keyboard tray. This is **not** a flaw of the keyboard tray - it's a problem with how mice work these days. This is why the product images from VIVO show a mouse pad on top of the keyboard tray. You have been warned. :)

Solid unit, but...
Tray assembly was fairly straightforward - be aware, though, that like other reviewers have said, the screws that connect the clamp assembly to the adjustable metal risers are a bit too short in my opinion. It's difficult to get them tight enough as there's not enough thread. Like other reviewers, I think the M5x8 screws should have been M5x10 - there's no reason i can think of where the longer screws would interfere with anything.Beyond that, the unit seems quite sturdy, any improvement over the previous one I had used for a number of years. There's actually less wiggle than the one it replaced and the brackets and clamps are more heavy duty. I like the ability to adjust the height (or drop) of the tray and it doesn't seem to affect the stability.Aside from the length the one set of screws for assembly, the only other negative I've found so far is that the keyboard slides around too easily. It would be nice if the surface wasn't as smooth or that some sort of keyboard pad were included, ala shelf lining material. I'm planning to cut something to size and try that. Another option would be to have an adjustable "stop" instead of the back edge plate, which works but the keyboard is too far back on the tray to be useful at that point.I would have rated the tray 5 stars if the one group of assembly screws was a bit longer and there was some means of controlling keyboard slippage.

Great product, even better customer service!
This product works as advertised. Easy to assemble and durable. Have been using it for 3 years without any problems. Also, I am greatly impressed by customer service. They were prompt to send me replacement parts multiple times, twice when I complained that one of the parts had a paint chip, and one for a lost screw. They sent me a replacement free of charge, even for something as insignificant as one lost screw, that too 3 years after purchase when the product wasn't even under warranty!Would definitely recommend if you think it would meet your requirements.

Can use it as a mousepad
It does fit onto this desk. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LGSLD2S?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Just turn the clamp bottoms sideways and tighten them up. Easy to install with good directions and extra screws. Easier if you flip your desk upside down. I found my mousepad was sliding around because this shelf is big enough that I didn't have to put half of it under my keyboard (which held the mousepad in place) So I removed the pad and I'm using the shelf as a mousepad. The shelf slides in and out smooth enough on the metal side bearings, but I added a little Vaseline to the ball bearings to keep it smooth. If it seems like it's binding after you mount it, just loosen the clamps a little and jiggle it until everything lines up and then retighten the clamps. I had to lower the shelf one set of holes to allow my mouse to clear the desk top support bar. This desk shelf seems pretty sturdy and should last a while. I think it's worth the price. Me likey

Frustration due to loose screws, and tray slides too easily
The screws that attach the keyboard to the clamp do not stay put, which causes the tray to wobble. I tighten the screws and the keyboard is fine, but then a couple hours later the screws are loose and the keyboard is wobbling again. Other than that major flaw, the keyboard tray seems like a good design, and when it works it is very nice to use. To improve this keyboard, the manufacturer should fix the screw connection, and make a way to lock the tray into position. The tray glides too easily, which makes it difficult to type on because as I type on the keyboard, the tray is sliding away from me, making me have to almost constantly pull it back toward myself to maintain an ergonomic position for typing.

Perfect for standup desks
This was fast to assemble and install. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The threads on all brackets and screw’s aligned perfectly and had no burrs or sharp edges. The platform easily accommodates an ergonomic keyboard and mouse. The tray slides well. A bit jerky to start but worked well after a few movements. The tray fully slides under the desk without interfering with the stand up hardware. The rubber pads the hold the clamps fit perfectly to the clamps and will not be a concern for dust accumulation. The clamps and pads have a very low profile and are far enough apart so as not to impede the desktop writing surface. This new tray will end the pain in my back from having to bend over the old tray that could not push under the desk without a lot of maneuvering.Installation tip: situate the tray about half way under the desk to balance the clamps when they are first being screwed in.Excellent quality, definitely recommend.

Not sure
While this is sturdy an looks well made it almost looks industrial, chunky, bulky. The slider mechanism could be better seem to be cheap an can be stiff.Be aware that the clamps almost add 5 cm to each side which makes it longer then you think .I also fond my desk is 76cm high ( average hight for a desk ) and once I'd clamped it to my desk I did not need the extra bits to drop it down

Sturdy, good size, can’t complain.
Decent price, sturdy and good width + depth. Big keyboard so needed the extra depth.
