Just pefect!
I bought this product to connect my cameras (I'm a photographer) to a double leather strap. Is heavy but perfect for me.

Cotter ring is the weak point.
The shackle itself seems pretty good. Has good opening action. But the cheapo cotter ring they have on the end of the pin separated (bent open) after a few pulls. The ring was about 1/2", 5/8" diameter originally. The nicer shackles like this have fused shut rings on the pull pin, but a bent wire ring could be fine also if it were strong enough. I can probably fix it with another ring from a keychain.
