These blades are beveled on BOTH sides so that they do not cut the wires off flush.
These blades are beveled on BOTH sides so that they do not cut the wires off flush (see photos). Instead, they mash the wires down and leave the ends exposed (see photo). Some network equipment will not even accept plugs like this because they adhere to standard specs, and the connector won't go in all the way with the wires sticking out of the end. The wires actually function as little stand-offs.The blades are poorly milled, with many defects (see photo).These blades do not work at all.

Cuts well now.
Really improved cutting the wires extending out of the plug. The old blade was dull and left more wire protruding. This resolved my problem.

Watch the video first
These are terrific but make sure you watch one of the videos on YouTube before you install the replacement. If you don't get the blade in exactly right you'll wind up with bad connections.
