Bought this tool a few months ago. I own a flooring business and use this stair tool frequently. Best stair tool I’ve come across. It’s rigid, holds its form, and performs as expected. It just works.. what more can you ask. Can use it for the tread or the riser.Anyways, I lost one of the pins that sets the tread depth. I emailed their customer service and Juan sent me a couple replacement pins with a hand written note, no questions asked. It’s nice to come across top notch customer service.

do not waste your money GARBAGE
Not only does the product suck , so does SST customer service. The wings on this product DO NOT LOCK like many others have said. I reached out to the company on multiple avenues including social media with no response. They are charging a premium price for a product that cant be used as intended. I even bought different looking knobs off their website thinking they were some kind of improvement. Got absolutely scammed on this one. Will never even try another one of their tools. Do not trust the good reviews and the company wont even stand up for their poorly designed product.

Pretty good
The quality of the material is nice but I agree with the other reviews, the bolts don’t tighten enough to transfer marks. Also I can’t believe that it doesn’t come with a case considering it’s double the price of any other stair gauge I’ve seen..

Build quality will leave you with a permagrin! Beautiful tool without any sacrifice on quality. Buy it and you will not have any regrets. (I do flooring professionally.)

The tightness knobs do not keep the angles blades tight enough!
