These are a good stands to start off working on ya car. These need to be put on firm ground like tarmac or concrete as they will sink into grass without plywood under.

Does the job

I bought these specifically as they’re rated 3 ton each and needed to use them on my Range Rover Sport. I jacked the car up, put the stand underneath in the correct location, lowered the car down, all good. As soon as I had walked around the other side of the car I heard a loud pop, then a creak, creak, creak..then the whole car dropped almost to the floor. One quick look at the axle stand and the leg was buckled and sticking out, the weld that holds the two flimsy bits of metal together had popped open, I was just relieved that I wasn’t underneath the car at the time otherwise I’d literally have been crushed. My neighbour then lent me his two old Halfords 2 Ton rated axle stands which seemed a hell of a lot heavier and sturdier than these, and they worked great. Looking at the quality and flimsiness of these I’m quite shocked. When I first received them I was surprised even when they arrived in a small, light cardboard box. These are just plain dangerous, cheap and nasty junk. Now I have to post back the damaged items to even get a refund.
