Great guard! Easy to install with two people (I have the oil cooler). Feels & looks sturdy.

This Grill Guard was involved in a collision
I have been a service manager of truck repair facilities for over 25 years, so I do know trucks. As we operate in areas with many deer, it seemed like a good idea for a Grill Guard. I felt the attachments of the 17DOPRMA were the best of the ones available for the Promaster. I did the installation myself. Less than 2 hours in my residence driveway. Little did I know in 2 weeks the guard would save our van from disaster. A station wagon ran a stop sign at 25 MPH. The wrap around at the left front fender deflected the impact and the guard absorbed a great deal of collision energy. The van is repairable. Without the guard, I suspect a total loss. I have already ordered a replacement. On back order, but I'll wait.

Watch out for welded bumper bolts
I don’t think it has anything to do with the product itself, but Whoever said that this was easy to install clearly did not have to deal with welded bumper bolts. For some reason two of the bolts on the driver side that need to come out to facilitate the bracket are tack welded at the bolt head. As you can imagine, this is greatly complicating things, seeing as I do not have the tools and infrastructure to break these welds. Did anyone else run into this issue? And of course this is the worst time of year to try to find a body shop or auto shop to assist.

Nice brush guard, but mounting brackets are not Solid enough!
Nice solid brush guard, also light mounts. Only disappointing part of the whole product are the mounting brackets. They are not built solid enough, I hit a high curb at very low speed and it totally bent both sides. I ended up taking brackets off and welding more support onto them to make them stronger. Maybe black horse will read this review and adjust, thank you. 🤙🏼
