Get the V2. This version is it!
First off, I'll start by saying that although these are made in China, they are TRUE TO SIZEWhich, as you may know, is not normally the case with a lot of clothes ordered off Amazon. Now, to expand on my title a little.Initially, I ordered a different version of the G3 pants from IDOGEAR that did not have the same fabric regarding the stretchy material. I honestly don't know what to describe it as, but the pants have more reviews than this version and they're roughly $1 less at the time of this review. Examine the pictures...you'll see what I mean. With that in mind, I was very unimpressed by "those ones", so exchanged them for these instead. For the price I thought...why not? Worth a shot. This version...MUCH better. All around. Quality of stitching, knee pads, and even the material/finish of the bungees and velcro felt lile they were higher quality. Much more comparable to Crye. No joke!I left a crappy review on the others with pictures if you want to go take a look. I cannot yet attest to the longevity, but for $70...I'll take my chances and buy a pair for backup. I would recommend you do the same if you're not willing to shell out $300+ on a single pair of Cryes.

great, relatively low cost tactical pants
I've been looking for some good tactical pants that didn't cost over $100, and these fit the bill. I don't think that they are going to survive seriously tough training, at least not a lot of it, but if you just want some good tactical pants for hunting, the range, contracting, or paintball/airsoft, these are a great option.Very comfortable, tons of pockets, interior magazine pouches, lots of points of adjustment. The knee pads that are included are adequate - they won't hold up to heavy abuse, but are more than enough for kneeling in the dirt or gravel and staying comfortable. Fit and look great. Highly recommend.

Best Combat Pants on Amazon.
Absolutely the best Combat pants on Amazon. These are a little bit pricey but worth it with out a doubt. The material is extremely durable, yet flexible and breaths well. Even in 90°+ heat with humidity they don’t over heat you, thanks to the gussets being made of a thin but durable spandex like material that literally lets the breeze Blow through.Other brands in Amazon have similar designs but so far I have not found any that have the same light weight breathable gussets. As for cold weather, thanks to the primary material being good working material, you won’t freeze your “parts” off either.I’ve worn these in both 90+ heat and below 40° weather and been very comfortable. Especially when paired with this brands combat shirt. The shirt keeps your core cool in the cold weather especially if you wear a carrier or vest as part of your kit.My only “complaint” (which is more of a critique) is that there are only 3 color/pattern options:multicam,OD GreenMulticam Black.I would love to see a wider range of colors, I especially would love to see a plain black pair of the pants since they would be great for working in at my job as a EMT but since multicam black is not acceptable I can’t wear them.

Good Pants - Different Versions Have the Same Name
This will be a somewhat longish review in hopes of helping others not be as confused as I was. Amazon sells several different versions of these Idogear G3s, all with the same "headline" name, but the pants ARE different. I bought two different versions and will outline below.Firstly, this review is based on these multicam pants: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4FFM8L5Note that on this same page, they list TWO multicams under color choice - the above as well as B06XX6P32D. The 8L5s and the 32ds have a different design and look to use different materials. Again, I am reviewing the B0C4FFM8L5s here. These pants are a great bang for the buck as Crye knockoffs. I'm pretty high drag/low speed, so don't want to look like a jackass buying $350 Cryes, but I do practice run and gun stuff like 100-7 drills (the mile version, not the 200 yard version) weekly and wanted something beyond the basic BDUs I was using, both for good articulation when bending in various positions and I also wanted hard shell kneepads for rock and puncture protection. I've used these several times now, and am very pleased with their performance. Additionally, despite Idogear's own warning about "European sizing" and ordering a size up, this version of their pants appears to be true to size (I learned this from a previous review of this stock number). I ordered the 38s, and I actually have room to spare. When closing the main velcro waist closure, I can easily overlap it and have probably a good 1.5" of room for days where I eat an entire large pizza. This version has a handy knife pocket that other versions don't. As many other reviews stated, the kneepads look funny and appear to be placed very inboard. I was worried about that until I started using them, but when I go to kneeling shooting positions, they seem to move into place and I have solid kneepad contact with the ground, despite them looking funky when you're just standing. As others have said, the kneepads are kind of a pain to get into place, and I worry about at one point ripping the seams there after a lot of removals and replacements of the pads. Otherwise, I really like these pants for what they are, and I additionally ordered a second pair in Ranger Green. Now, for comparison, I decided to order another version of the pants just to see what the differences were. I ordered these (again, the page shows them to be Idogear G3s):https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078GNBJQHFor the most part, they are the same as the B0C4FFM8L5 version. The differences are 1) No knife pockets. 2) The elastic material above the knees and the back of the waistline is different. It is a textured, rather than a smooth material. I don't see that it is better or worse than the smooth material, but just note that it looks different. 3) Most importantly, these apparently are "European sizing". I ordered the same size as I did for the B0C4FFM8L5s, but these are noticeably tighter in the waist. I can still wear them comfortably, but I am at pretty much max waist adjustment with this version. No being a pizza glutton in this version. Otherwise, again, these are pretty much the same quality as the B0C4FFM8L5s, but with the above noted design differences.Anyway, I hope that this helps alleviate the confusion for others that I had when trying to figure out which pants were which.
