I would say the instructions are not clear for beginners but with additional support it's quite easy to learn. I believe the quality of the yarn is good and the end result is amazing. I would personally include more yarn of some of the colours but it is still great value for money. This could be the best present for creative and crafty people!

This kit seems to have everything for someone new to crochet, containing lots of colourful mini balls of wool in a variety of colours, a crochet hook, pins, and stitch markers. It's aim is to crochet the amigurumi animals in the accompanying booklet and so also has the safety eyes and stuffing required to complete them. I learnt to crochet last year and having made several scarves, hats, granny squares etc I'd say I'm only just getting to stage where I have the skills to try the amigurumi technique.Potential buyers should note that the instructions use the American notation i.e. single crochet instead of double and the accompanying photos - whilst plentiful - are often out of focus and often fail to illustrate the text or clearly show the key step in the process. Later on some of the different stitches used are only described in text and don't have accompanying photos. Not good. Also note the terms used are confusing for anyone who's read any of the UK magazines or watched YouTube videos as many of them are quite different. I suspect whoever wrote the booklet doesn't do crochet, or has translated the terms from another language into English.Initially it looks like there's lots of wool, but it soon becomes clear that anyone wanting to make all of the animals won't have enough of some of the colours to make them and I see one of the other reviewers ran out of wool on one of the makes.It's quite expensive for what it is when compared to what's available on craft weeks in the middle isles of certain supermarkets.A nice try, but it doesn't quite get there.

Really pleased with this i gave it to my aunt who loves things like this and she now has a niece and nephew so shes been busy making things for them good quality includes all different colours stuffing needles extra all for a really good price really happy
