Safer than a one sided lock.
I bought this to secure our backgate.It is not the easiest thing to instal so I had the wife help me check off what I was doing before I drilled holes!I thought the instructions were slightly wrong so went online to see videos of people installing them. (I needed that)Once on the are great. Makes the house more secure than just a one sided lock, as if they can jump a fence elsehwere int he garden they can just open the one sided lock and have entry/exit with the stuff they are taking.Good product but difficult to install (all depends though on your DIY capability..)

Tubular latch failed
The tubular latch failed after a few weeks. Worked okay to start with but then wouldn’t pull all the way back meaning the lock would not stay locked. Had to get it all off and put a new better quality latch in. Most inconvenient and not secure. Working okay now.

No more keys needed
The easiest way to install is by measuring the lock inserts rather than using the paper format. It is an easy lock to fit if done that way…
