Iwachu Japanese Iron Tetsubin Teapot, Hobnail, Black

Compré esta tetera para tener mi té caliente pero no cumple su cometido el liquido de enfría enseguida, no la volvería a comprar.

The pot is well made - feels solid and looks good.But not sure if it a design flaw - water leak from the lid when tea is poured.Also the black color in the outside wears off - is this normal?

really great pot, made well, obvious care and attention to detail---- BUT---- mine arrived with the handle unattached, and there is no way you can get it back on yourself ------its unbendable iron !! getting a replacement.really odd the handle was off. I can't see how it happened, frankly. I have a feeling it was simply not attached to begin with.
