Sizzix Big Shot Express Electric Die Cutting Machine, 660540, 6" (15.24cm) Opening, 6 in (15.24 cm)

Got this Big Shot Express a few weeks ago and am very happy with this purchase. I was on the fence about which die cutter to buy, this or the Gemini. Decided on this because I already have a manual Big Shot with all the accessories and they work with this machine. Didn't want the extra expense of having to buy all the add on's for the Gemini. The price on Amazon was amazing at about $80 less than the Gemini, which was a deciding factor. So far everything I have cut worked on the first run. even intricate dies. The machine is extra quiet too, didn't expect it to be that quiet. Plus it looks really nice on my desk. The only complaint I have is the cord that the machine plugs into is very tight and doesn't stay put together. Hoping that the connector stretches with time just from use and then it will be a nice tight connection. The machine wasn't available for a long time as they had problems with it in the past. I am hoping that this new version holds up over time. I also hope that this review will help you make your mind up. It was very frustrating for me, not having a recent review when I was deciding on whether to purchase this machine or not.

So far I am loving this electric die cutter. It cuts perfectly, is quiet enough, and is so much easier to use than the manual one. I bought it because of the progressively worsening arthritis in my hands, but I wish I had bought it long before my hands started troubling me; the cut and emboss are just so superior. My one worry is that it will stop working early in the game, as I have read has happened to others. But so far so good. The see through plates will curl - just force them through as you would with a manual machine. Makes for a crisper cut.

I use this embossing machine to create cards for family and friends. Since the pandemic when we have been home so much, I started making cards again and sending out 15 a week to family and friends. My cards are more professional with the use of the Embossing machine and the many interesting die cuts. I did have a little trouble with placement of die cuts on the paper and lining them up the two plastic forms that are then inserted for the process through the machine. I did watch a tutorial on this equipment, and that helped immensely. I am hearing rave reviews each week, and all love my "snail mail" cards.

I like this machine, because I don't need to crank it and the plates move through the machine smoothly. The only thing I had to get use to was that the button needs to be held down the entire time it is pushing the plates through. I had the impression that once I pushed the button, it would just go through (and I could possibly walk away). But you actually need to stand there and hold the button down. Would be great if Sizzix would allow this feature to be a 1-Push Button and not a Press-Down button. Otherwise, after getting over the idea of what I thought was supposed to happen, I am happy with the machine and love how easy it is to use.

Waited forever for this to become available. Even called Sizzix directly and was told they were having problems with the machine and it would be a few months more before it was available for sale. As soon as I saw it on line my husband told me to order it for an early birthday present.I was so excited ! When it arrived I waited about a week to try it out because I wanted a day when nothing else was going to distract me. I was disappointed in the cutting, not always all the way through with some dies and ok with others. I used only Sizzix dies. I was so happy to have it that I figured I could live with it. Two days later I tried it again and it was the same, ok with some dies, not with others. Then I heard a big bang!I have no idea what happend but after that it still ran through but didn't cut at all. At that time I also noticed the made on date which was during the time that Sizzix told me they were having trouble with the machines. I feel the sellers knew of the potential problems with this machine. I can't prove it, but am SO disappointed. Now I also find out that there is only a 30 day return policy with Amazon. I ordered from Amazon because I trusted them. I will never order anything mechanical from them again. It was my belief that they stood behind their customers. I hardly think 30 days is sufficient time to evaluate something you don't use every day.

I have been using a manual die cutting machine with a hand crank for 11 years. Lately, it was taking longer to cut and harder on my arthritic hands. I researched electric machines, read the reviews here on Amazon and as the price was reasonable and the delivery quick, I bought it. Very easy to set up and begin cutting; just plug in the cord. This little machine is a papercrafter’s dream! Why did I wait so long to buy it? Highly recommend. Would also recommend the precision base plate if you cut intricate dies, you can get that on Amazon too.

I love this machine, it saves me so much time and every cut is perfect! But I have to use the extended cutting pads I bought separately because the standard cutting pads that came with it were damaged. Contacted the seller and I am hoping they will replace them or refund the amount it will cost for me to replace them. They really don't cost that much but if I'm going to pay that much for something then EVERYTHING better be with it and in good working order. Seems fair to me. Other than that, I love my Big Shot Express!

I love the Sizzix Big Shot Express. It’s much easier to use than the manual machine. The only disappointment was that the chord that was supposed to fit to the adapter didn’t fit. Instead of returning the machine without being able to try it, I purchased a chord that would fit at a local electronics store. And presto - It worked. Another thing that I notice is that the cutting pads seem to warp more quickly than with the manual machine.One interesting point - when I read reviews, I found out that more machines purchased through Amazon had the power chord problem.I did call Sizzix to report this problem. Nothing they could do.😡
