Expandable and Foldable Pet Carrier Domestic Airline Approved (Heather Gray)

PERFECT carrier. Sturdy, well made with good materials, cute. Tons of ways to open it, from the front, side, back, top. We got it for our new dachshund puppy and it's been a lifesaver. Removable padding we wrapped in a puppy pad for easy cleanup just in case. No only does he love it, but it's the perfect size. Also a plus; everyone knows a puppy cries and wakes up a LOT throughout the night when first away. Instead of putting him in a crate we put him next to the bed in this carrier (we don't crate our other dogs this is just to prevent nightime accidents) and whenever he cried and woke up during the night I was able to roll over and open the top and stick my hand in and he was instantly comforted and drifted back to sleep. Saved me waking up just for comfort tons of times! So has had multiple uses, and also pockets are perfect for leash, puppy pads, ECT. 100% recommend!

I love this carrier. I spent quite a bit of time researching all of the different options for size/material/price and color options. I've very pleased with deciding on this one. I've used it 4 times so far, once for my very large (14 lbs) cat; he fit perfectly and the darkness helped to calm him down. Again for my new kitten to take him to a low cost vaccination clinic; it was very convenient to have him hanging from my shoulder while we waited. I also used it to take my sick chicken (I know) to the vet, and she fit perfectly as well. The main reason I bought this though, was for my other very large cat (16 lbs) that I have to take to the groomer every few months. The groomer returns the cats to their carriers instead of placing them in a kennel, so I really liked the idea of allowing her to have more room while she's waiting for me to pick her up. She's secure, it's soft so she's not leaning against hard metal and it's VERY convenient to throw her on my shoulder to alleviate some of her weight when carrying her to and from. I also like that I can strap this in with a seat belt for added safety in the car.

I’ve only had this carrier for a few days, but it seems to work pretty well. I’ll be flying with my cat and it’s his first time doing major travel, so hoping it holds up for him. I’ve been testing him in it to get him adjusted to it before I fly out. So far, the carrier looks great—-he’s a big guy, but it gives him just enough room to turn around, and when it expands it’s even better. After his initial fear, he’s been laying down and playing in the carrier, so I feel comfortable that he’ll be fine and comfy while traveling with me. He’s also got sharp claws and has been trying to get out/playing with the carrier, but the mesh has still held up so far. Overall, very satisfied with this product, but I’ll have to see how it works after more time has passed.

When I had to relocate my 12 lb. poodle mix from New Mexico to Alaska (9 hours of flying), I was a bit nervous, because I hadn't taken a dog on an airline trip for a long time. I wanted to take him inside the cabin, so I purchased this. It was perfect for the trip. It has a "mini-leash" attached to an inside corner of the carrier, you clip your dog to it, and can open the top or side flaps to allow the them to stick their head out without worrying about them escaping. My dog was almost too tall for this carrier, but with the expandable sides, he could get comfortable lying down, and could stick his head out when he wanted. The carrier has flexible stiffeners in the sides, which some folks have complained about "it collapses..., etc", but I found this to be an advantage in that you can flex it a bit to fit the available under seat space. This carrier fit my needs perfectly. Note that the expandable section is only on one side, not both sides like some other carriers.

We purchased this carrier for our kitty to travel in during our 900 mile trip in a UHaul to move from Chicago to NYC. I spent a lot of time reviewing carriers as our cat is not the best traveler, so needed to make sure I got the perfect carrier. We have a hard cased carrier, but felt it only suitable for short journeys and trips to the vet so decided we would go with a soft-sided carrier, especially as there's a change of air travel with her in the near future.Eventually we went with this one, mainly swayed by the expandable section as it seemed perfect for giving her that little extra space to stretch out. And it was great. She chilled out perfectly in this for hours at a time during our three-day road trip.PROS:The mesh is great for giving her some air and also allowing her to see what is going on around her.The wide opening at the front and on top makes getting her in a breeze (and as any cat owner knows, this is important!)The expanding side section is great for allowing her to stretch outIt feels strong and durablePockets on the side are helpful for storing treats, leash etc in.Has carry handles and a longer strap for your shouldersIt folds flat for easy storageCONSYou have to be really careful that the zippers are done up as if there's even a little gap, they can get wiggle their arm/head through and may get out.This happened once, but thankfully we were inside the vehicle and spotted her straight away. If the zippers are done up properly you will be fine. To make doubly sure we just put a twist tie in each zipper to keep them together.The zipper issue is why this only gets 4 stars, if it wasn't for that it would get 5. I really liked this carrier and think it's excellent value for money.And most importantly, the cat liked it.
