DermaSilk Triple-Sculpting Anti-Aging Cream, 1.7 Ounce

Well I have had my plastic surgery and my skin looks amazing. Actually, I am a chemist and formulate my own products. From time-to-time I will try a product that appears to have a balanced formulation. I use 4 Dermasilk products because they are affordable and have good anti-inflammatory properties. Skin creams and serums are simply designed to reduce inflammation in the skin so the skin can heal itself. Large molecules like bovine collagen and hyaluronic acid are not absorbed into the skin, they are simply too large and they just absorb water at the surface of the skin. Dermasilk has very nice aqueous-silicone based emulsion serums. They are light and have a fairly decent delivery system.A moisturizer has larger molecules than a serum. This means that a moisturizer will not penetrate the skin as far as a serum will. While serums deposit nutrients, moisturizers are meant to deposit moisture and hydration into your skin.Facial serums can give you added moisture. The main reason you’d want to use a facial serum is to get added nutrients into deeper layers of your skin that a regular moisturizer is not able to reach. You can get many types of serums such as anti-aging serums, skin brightening serums and even acne preventative serums. You apply the serum after your toner and before your moisturizer.Claims that silicones in any form cause or worsen acne have not been substantiated in published research, nor have reports that silicones are irritating or "suffocate" skin. Almost all of these claims are either myths or based on anecdotal evidence, which isn't the best way to determine the safety or efficacy of any cosmetic ingredient.All ingredients have to be suspended in some base formula. Some of those ingredients remain on the surface some absorb. Either way the "actives" get through. Think of how many topical medications are suspended in petrolatum or mineral oil and those active ingredients absolutely get through and petrolatum is far more effective at preventing moisture loss than silicones are. Silicones have been used in burn units for years because of their unique healing, protecting, and breathable properties.Moreover, the molecular structure of commonly used silicones makes it impossible for them to suffocate skin. The unique molecular structure of silicones (larger molecules with wider spaces between each molecule) allow them to form a breathable barrier and also explains why silicones rarely feel heavy or occlusive, although they offer protection against moisture loss.Serums are generally formulated to be a higher percentage of the active ingredients than those found in moisturizers. They are considered treatment products, and their price will be generally more than a moisturizer due to the quality of ingredients. So you'll want to apply your serum before anything else. Then comes your cream/moisturizer and finally your sunscreen which you can follow up with makeup.I guarantee you that there is no serum or cream anywhere that will give you the results you get from good surgical procedure performed by a good plastic surgeon, but you can maintain your results for an extended period of time with a good skin care regime.

Feels great on my face but did not work as advertised.

Is a good nightime moisturizer. Can't use it under make-up during the day. I have oily skin and will clog my pores.

Nothing will erase lines permanently, but this cream does make a difference. Adequate sleep and drinking more water, along with a nice wrinkle cream will do wonders for lines and wrinkles. Cream alone won't get it done. I've been using this cream for almost a year, and it seems to work fairly well. But I occasionally switch up and use Frownies for a couple of nights, then the cream for a week or so. I think a combination of doing that, along with plenty of water in the hours before going to bed, and making sure I get plenty of sleep makes a huge difference. When I simply use the cream, the results aren't quite as noticeable.

I really like how my face feels when I use this. Not greasy!!!!! Very soft my mother is 81 years old, she absolutely loves it too!!!! Now get this my daughter is 29 this is her favorite face cream. My mothers face has seen some improvement by using the product, did it take 30 years off no! But her skin is softer and wrinkles seem filled in not as deep.

Broke my face out to oily

I have been using this cream for about two years now and it has helped my face so much. I use it morning and night. I'm 72 years old and thiscream has removed some of my brown spots and tightened my skin! I have been more than pleased with it!

Just the bottle with no seal. In a Manila puffy envelope!! How do we know this is actually the product and anyone could have just unscrews lid. Very disappointed and a waist of money because I don’t trust it is clean. Jar was dusty and gad scratches on lid. Just really sketchy product delivery. Disappointed in dermasilk. Their products always come in tamper proof packaging and box. This had none.
