This is a nice GPS Receiver. Well Built, fast to get position, even indoors. Light weight, comes with two camera cables, a clip to hang it on your camera strap, a cable to connect it to your computer (or charger), manual, and CD. It however does not work with my Canon T6i, I thought it might since it works with the 750D, but no luck. SHIPS FROM GERMANY. It's so new it doesn't show up on the Marrex Website. Actually the Marrex website isn't much for support. There are no firmware updates for any of their units, so either they were perfect the first time, or...

Seems to work really well, and used it all over my trip to Ireland. There are a few problems, but I would buy it again. It's much more affordable than the Canon version.The dust cover for the jacks on the side fell off after the first day of heavy use. Though really that's not a big issue.I would have preferred a low profile L bend USB cable for the side of the camera. It pokes out straight and bent several time when my camera rolled on to it's side or when I forgot about it and rested it on my leg. Though it never broke, it did make me worry from time to time. I plan on replacing the cable soon.

Original product worked fine for about a week. Then it would not charge so I contacted the seller and a replacement was sent. The unit works just as advertised. I use it for aerial photography with my Canon 5D MK III. Good readings on position, altitude and direction the camera is facing.

Ich habe das Gerät nun mehr als ein Jahr - und habe es ausgemustert, da es mir zu unzuverlässig ist.. Im EinzelnenPositiv: es gibt die GPS Koordinaten an die Kamera weiter - aber über ein nerviges Kabel.Negativ- die Batterie ist schnell leer (ca 3 h). Ausschalten dazwischen geht nicht, da danach die Suche nach der Position zu lange dauert.- die Kompass-Daten werden nicht übertragen.- eine Verbindung zum Computer ist nicht mit aktuellen Betriebssystemen möglich (steht aber in der Beschreibung).- die Befestigung auf dem Blitzschuh klappte nur kurze Zeit, da dann die Leiste vom Gerät abbrach (war nur mit einer winzigen Schraube befestigt, die nicht in das Gehäuse griff -> keine Befestigung auf Dauer). Kleben war immer nur temporär haltbar (verschiedene Klebstoffe probiert)Naja, irgendwann verlor ich die Lust auf den Kabelsalat (GPS Kabel und Kabel zur BackUp Batterie) und die Befestigungsprobleme

Utilisé avec un Canon 5D mark III et un Canon 7D, cet appareil remplit parfaitement ses obligations. Usage aisé et intuitif. Précision du GPS parfaite (mesurée par rapport au GPS d'un véhicule).

Erster GPS fix deutlich besser als im YouTube Video. Habe nicht genau aufgepasst, aber unter 2min in der Wohnung am Fenster. Ähnliches Verhalten wie bei smartphones. Gerät wird auf Anhieb von der Kamera erkannt und die Daten in den exif`s gespeichert. Auch die Höhenangabe entspricht in etwa der tatsächlichen Werte. Der Trägerclip kann nicht nur auf den Gurt seitlich aufgesteckt werden, sondern mit etwas Fummelei auch fest in den Gurt eingeschoben werden, dazu muss der Gurt erst von der Kamera gelöst werden und das Band, wie der Originalgurtversteller, durch die Schlitze gefädelt werden.

Réponse à mon mail précisant ce dysfonctionnement au vendeur (TLS.TRADING" <[email protected]>) : « Malheureusement, le fabricant a les versions de logiciels pour Windows 8 et 10 n'a pas encore développé. Le récepteur peut être détecté jusqu'à présent que par Windows XP, Vista et 7. »En conséquence le vendeur était au courant de ce pb et ne l’a pas signalé.C’est d’autant plus dommage car aucun problème de raccordement avec mon Canon EOS 5D Mk3. Le boiter est petit, joli, fonctionnel, bien fini et se configure facilement sur le Canon. Ses seuls défauts étant la présence obligatoire du câble MARREX-Canon et une notice en anglais uniquement.Nota : Je lis bien les données GPS enregistrées en EXIF sur chaque photo individuellement (enregistrées en EXIF GPS) .En conclusion si seule l’info GPS taguée sur la photo vous intéresse, c’est un bon produit, sinon NE PAS ACHETER.
