Worked as advertised. Rattled big buck into 8 yards.

I hunt whitetail in Johnson city, Texas. Outside Austin, west part of Edwards plateau which has the highest population of whitetail in the nation. I use a 50 pound Montana longbow and sit in a tree about 20 feet in the air.I love these things. I have called in plenty of bucks before and after the rut. I also use their buck call and have learned to call them in pretty well. But even without the call I can usually still get them to come storming in. More mature bucks are skeptical of course but still investigate when they hear them. They are easy to bang together and make a loud sound that imitates bucks fighting.The best part is it’s easy to not smack your fingers when trying to be loud. They are super light and when you want to store them you can put them together and just use tape or a rubber band to keep them tight. I wrap them together and stuff them in my chest harness for climbing my tree and then have holders I’ve set in place so I can set them down after.100 percent worth buying.

I didnt have any luck using these but I like the way they sound.. I find them a bit costly 4* and my only issue with them was trying to bang them together hard my hands hit each other and I wish they didnt. As for my lack of success I dont blame them... there were no deer in the area that I could tell lol

I am very impressed with the Black Rack. The sound is so realistic.Before this, I was using a sock with a bunch of whittled sticks inside to mimic a deer fight. It wasn't anything like what you get from the Black Rack.The DIY sock rattle sounded kind of like this: "krrrrrchhhhff krrrrchfff, clack clack, krrrrrrrppppptf, cur cur, clack, fffffph." Obviously, this will never lure in the big game that we're all after.On the other hand, the Black Rack had the exact sound you're expecting from a product of this caliber. The sound of two testosterone jacked bucks going at each other full bore. The kind of sound that would make even the most cautious of bucks let their guard down, come running out of the brush and exposing themselves more than Janet Jackson at a Superbowl concert.Unlike my DIY wood filled sock, the Black Rack gives that deep chocolaty rutty buck sound that you expect. It sounds kind of like this: "Clack! thunk thunk, chic chic chic, clunk, thud thud, clack clack." To the untrained ear, this may sound like many of the other plastic deer antler packages that we've all seen. But to the ear of a mature doe-chasing brainless bag of deer meat, it sounds like Lou Rawls' greatest hits Vol 2. "you'll never find....it'll take the end of all time....."Recommended.

First I want to say I am not an expert hunter. I've never used calls or rattles before. After reading reviews I decided the Black Rack sounded like a good product so I decided to give them a try. The first time I used them I had smaller bucks charging in. I rattled in a nice 8 that didn't give me a shot but my hunting buddy dropped him. Then a week later I seen a big boy in a field but was cutting to the treeline. I used my Extinguisher deer call and gave two short grunts. Then I rattled the Black rattles for a minute. Ten minutes later he came charging in and I dropped my first buck ever! I highly recommend this product! Also, I did use their instructional videos on their app for tips and pointers!

Easy to use just a little bulky

I’m happy with the quality and sound these produce. I almost didn’t buy because a couple reviews said they easily broke with use. So far I don’t have that experience, they seem to be built pretty well and should hold up under proper use. Of course, I can say that right up until they break - if they ever break. I’m not worried at this point. Funny story, the first time I used these, I called in my brother-in-law (veteran deer and elk hunter with many, many kills) from a couple hundred yards away. He described the experience as being excited, adrenalin pumping, sure he was going to bag a buck or maybe even two… until he came up over the rise and saw… me.

I have a set from a different company that sounds much, much more realistic. I bought these because the deer can see the light-colored tone of my other set, so I wanted the black ones sold here. Well, maybe the deer cannot tell the difference, but I sure can. I am not confident in these rattling antlers to bring in a buck of any size or age.

I can not wait to get this out in the bush and try it out. I watched the DVD and it was pretty fun to watch the bucks reaction to the call. The bucks always stopped when thy heard the antler rattle but kept walking when they tried the doe bleat. I guess time will tell if the deer in the bush come to the call like they do in the video(if they work half as well at calling in bucks as in the video then I'll be happy).

Very authentic sound, comfortable to use and decent to pack, I have no complaints and are the best I have seen.
