Q: how quiet are these on wooden floors?

They are very quiet. We have wooden floors and there's no squeaking or heavy sounds from them either.

Q: My husband has an ulcer on his ankle and has to wear a compression bandages would these be ok for him to wear and take a walk?

Well, all I can say is they are very comfortable, including around the sides and back (heels) of my feet. The soles are also nice and thick too. I would say they are definitely not waterproof so walking in the rain is not on and the sole isn't leather so be wary of stepping on stones or glass. Otherwise they are very lightweight and amazingly comfortable so a few shortish trips out on pavements or dry grass would be ok.
