PROVOKE Nourishing Blue Toning Hair Mask 300 ml, No Red & Orange Brassy Tones, for Brunettes, Warm Blondes, Highlighted & Balayage Hair

See before/after photo- taken in sun to show Max orangey was! Accidentally bought the ‘warm’ version of my semi-permanent hair colour, I usually use the ‘ash’ one which has no orange. I used this mask, should have worn gloves as my hands went pale blue/grey. Used a sugar scrub and nail brush and was ok after doing that twice.Hair is still quite warm tone as you can see in the right photo but much less orange than it was!I left in for 30min or more (it advises 10min).This mask is for brunettes as it balances orange. Purple shampoos/conditioner are for blondes as purple balances the yellow.

Used to keep my blue dyed hair toned. (Crazy colour used for deeper blue at bottom) Also use it to tone out any copper from my natural grey roots. It's perfect! gives a great steel shine to natural grey. I had previously been using purple toning shampoo/conditioner & there was still coppery tinge to my roots. Purple obviously only works on yellows, you def need BLUE for to neutralise orange/copper tones!! Hair has been left feeling so soft & nourished. My hair is naturally flat. No other products in photo & no heat styling.

Honestly so glad I bought this. I recently died my hair really dark and wanted to lighten to a light brown. I first bleached the hair then died it a light brown. It was so orange so I then died it brown on top and then tried a blue/purple shampoo. As you can tell it was still super warm. I bought this on a whim because I needed something proper blue to help the orange. I let it sit on my hair for 20 minutes on DRY hair then I washed it out and put it allover for a further 15-20 minutes on WET hair. I washed it out and shampooed my routes only because there was a bit of blue left but OMG look at the difference?! Seriously buy this and I’d suggest following the way I did it instead of just 5 minutes as it states if you really want it to work :) I’d say be careful on blonde hair as it’ll probably stay a bit blue but brown hair you’re good! So happy and will be repurchasing when I run out.

I uave brown hair that likes to go orange at every opportunity. Not a nice orange either. This stuff is great. I use a purple shampoo and this a couple of times a week. My hair is ever so slightly darker, which i like. It has much less of an orange tinge in sunlight, which i love. And my greys sparkle. (Should maybe add that I'm sick of dying hair and am going grey naturally, slowly)

My hair was desperately in need of a cut and colour but sadly salon closed... Tried this as my originally beautiful glossy brunette (thanks to my hairdresser!!) was turning a less glamourous orangey colour especially on the drier ends. Not one to believe in miracle advertising claims I was a bit sceptical, but WOW, what a transformation. Hair felt soft & silky and was shiny too and the orangey tinge defiantly cooled down. Will definitely be using again - so pleased I discovered it - a brilliant treat for the hair which doesn't cost a fortune

First of all, it might be my own fault that I look like a smurf. I had been growing out my bleached blond hair and so have about 8 inches of brown hair with blonde highlights where the old blond remains. I decided that my roots were too light so dyed the brown hair an ash colour thinking it would have no red n it. The result was an orangey brown. I didn't like that so I bought the blue mask to tone down the red. The result was that I have a blue scalp and blue hair where the blonde was, meanwhile it has had zero effect on teh brown hair. Now if you used this on virgin brown hair then maybe it would be fine but I look a mess.

My quest to find a blue shampoo or conditioner continues. Used it as advised, even left it on longer than 5 minutes and almost every day, yet my naturally brown hair still has its brassy tones I am desperate to lose. Have given one star only because it does feel nice and conditioned after use, but not what it had promised.

This product turned the lighter brunette parts of my hair green and took a long time for it to come out. Do not recommend!
