Awesome Pro Gimbal at a more affordable price point than the Ronin
The media could not be loaded. Pros:- More affordable than the DJI- Easy to use once setup- Quality carrying case- Quality buildCons- Heavy to holdSince I started my YouTube channel, I have been wanting to get a pro camera. After a few years of saving, I was able to get a Panasonic GH5 and I love it. But one of the issues I have had from switch to the pro camera is stability. iPhone has an extremely affordable gimbal system from DJI and others, but up until recently, I thought my only option for a Gimbal system for my GH5 would be the DJI Ronin. Now the Ronin gets great reviews and I do love DJI products, but the $849 price point is steep. Last week I found the MOZA Aircross 2 and at nearly half the cost, I figured what the hell, I'll give it a try.My YouTube channel, MCE, is a channel that focuses on the love of collecting toys, comics, and art. I meet other collectors and film their collections for room tours as well as provide product reviews of toys and statues. The iphone and the DJI Mobile have been great options for this but they lack that cinematic feel that I want. So using the GH5 is something I want to move to.Upon receiving the Moza Aircross 2, I was very impressed with the box design and carrying case. It comes in a very sturdy foam padded suitcase-style carrying case with a handle. So it made it very easy to pack it in the car when I went on my trip to film my friend's collection room. You do get the sense of quality when you hold it in your hand. It is very sturdy, heavy, and well built. I felt like I got my money's worth.Setup was not the easiest with the GH5. That could be my lack of knowledge of this style of gimbal. But let me tell you the book did not help at all. The instructions are very difficult to understand when trying to balance the camera, and I had to turn to several YouTube videos to get a better understanding of how to balance the camera. My first attempt to balance the camera was with the body and the smaller lens that came with the camera. Once balanced the gimbal worked great. The camera held up fine. I was able to go through all of the options like sports mode, where the gimbal can move the camera quickly with your movements, or inception mode, where you can have the camera do a barrel roll shot which is really cool.Immediately I noticed the weight. It is very heavy with the camera. I can see myself getting quickly fatigued holding it for long periods of time. So this is probably not the ideal solution for a comic con shoot. But for shoots where I can break in between shots, it works fine. Now when I made it to my destination I switched to my Sigma 18-35 mm lens on my camera. This is a very big lens in comparison to the original. The weight of this lens made it very difficult to balance the camera. I have since ordered a counterweight to help with the balancing. I included a quick video of my shoot to show you some of the issues I had. 1st you will notice that at times the camera will lazily tilt. This is due to the weight issue. So I highly suggest getting a counterweight. Also, the other issue I had with this camera was the focus. Now, this a limitation of the camera and not the gimbal. But MOZA also makes a focus wheel attachment that I now have on order and you can use the smart wheel on the side of the gimbal to adjust the focus manually. I think if you have a better Autofocusing camera like a Sony, you can get by without the focus wheel.Handling the system was very easy. There is a smart focus wheel that can be programmed to move the camera or to use as a focus wheel. There are smart buttons on the back to quickly get you in and out of the different options. It includes a tripod to stabilize on a table and this also gives you some added length to use two hands to hold it. You will need to do this as it can get very heavy after a while.Long and short, I think this gimbal is an excellent more affordable pro gimbal to get the steady shots you may be looking for. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to get a professional shoot.

Not very powerful.
This has some stellar features and ease-of-use options that go above and beyond other gimbals. The problem lies in the motors. I tried this with a Canon 200D and a Sony A6400, both with kit lens and no external mic. Both are well below the weight limit for this gimbal. Both were too heavy for the motors.Pros:The app - This app goes above and beyond what any other gimbal offers. You can control EVERYTHING the gimbal can do. Fast and responsive. LOVE IT.Features - There are many different software locks for the motors to keep your gimbal pointed at whatever you want or steady along the axis you want. They work extremely well and movement was fluid....until it wasn't. Has a nice Inception mode that works very well. Selfie mode worked great. Lots of things can be micro adjusted, too...Just so many great things going on with the software.Build - lightweight and easy to handle. Buttons were smooth and responded immediately. Everything feels great in the hand, and the gimbal is light enough to carry comfortably for long shoots. The tripod is wide and very stable, even under load and while moving the camera on the different axis.Con:Motors - Too weak for my cameras. At many angles there was juttering because the motors couldn't handle the weight. Even sitting on a tripod and using tracking....sometimes the motors would give out and the camera would stall in place jerking around. Not acceptable. This does extremely well with a phone in a cage, though.So...Here's my final verdict: I think this is an amazing gimbal overall...but not for an actual camera. If you've got a phone in one of those mountable cage rigs (a BeastGrip), this might be something to think about. At the right weight, this could easily be used for some amazing shots. The features are leaps and bounds over other gimbals...but the motors are just too weak for a DSLR.It's tough to give this a bad review because there was so much to like about this as a whole. With an extremely light set up this would be the absolute perfect gimbal. Honestly, if you've got a Beastgrip, you're obviously willing to spend money for phone videography....This will be the best gimbal for you. It just didn't work for me....I sent mine back.
