The threads don’t match and couldn’t use the product

This is a great product. Makes oil changes so much easier. I bought this bec I stripped the threads on my DL1000 (like a stupid jackwad) and had to have the shop repair my bike with a helicoil. Well, long story short; the last trip to the shop for service left my bike leaking oil from the drain plug (a lot of oil). Rather than take the bike back, I decided to try this fix. The Valvomax drain plug. *Here's the trick though*: if you have a stripped thread situation like I do, you MUST use JB Weld's engine gasket sealant. It's the "RED HI TEMP RTV" engine gasket sealant. Comes in a small 3 oz. tube. All you need to do is apply a small amount to the threads of the Valvomax plug and then install. Let it sit for 24 hrs before filling with oil. This simple fix ended my leaking problems. I rode my Vstrom to work the next two weeks...no issues. Leaking stopped. Give it a try.

This is a very high quality piece.....I also purchased two competitors products for comparison to determine which I would use....and also have a spare if needed. IMO, the ValvoMax is the best oil drain upgrade available. Not only is it a very high quality product, but it also has a tethered screw on cap for additional security and it comes with a short screw-on drain hose adapter which works great. This allows you drain directly into any container.....zero mess.

I bought the complete Valvomax kit. In theory and from the pictures it seemed good draining the oil through the tube and into the bag. I couldn't even do one oil change with this. The oil ended up in a puddle all over the ground. I threw it in the trash, and bought Eco Plug from AutoZone (also sold on Amazon). You're better off getting the Eco Plug magnetic drain valve for a alternative to the traditional oil pan drain bolts. I've used it before and have no complaints about it.

Used on my 2021 Nissan Titan. Works perfectly and makes changing oil very smooth and clean. Highly recommend.
