I highly recommend these Adult Coloring Books! They are Spiral Bound across the top so the pages lay flat. The designs are printed on quality paper that is thick and interreacts with your Gel Pens beautifully without sucking in too much ink, and they do not bleed. The drawings are unique and beautiful, and drawn by talented artists! The "Garden Paths" or "Forrest Trails" Books have 2 versions of each design. The smaller version of each design is sized just right for the banner on your Facebook page. I like them because I can finish a drawing in 1 or 2 sittings. The larger version of each design takes me about 3 sittings (with 3 hours at a time being my limit!) to finish a design. Then there is a book that combines both books - "Garden Paths and Forest Trails". It only has the larger version of each design. Get that book if you are not interested in the banner sized versions. This coloring book is amazing! The pages are heavy card stock, and there is a durable plastic sheet protector to use behind the page you are working on, so no bleed through! There are also the same sheet protectors at the top and bottom of this book, which I repurposed for use in all my "standard thickness" coloring books, and they're SO great to use! (Just know that you should wipe your plastic sheet down with rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball, if you do use them on your standard books with any alcohol markers, otherwise your next page used will get transfer color from the plastic sheet! Live and learn!) The drawings are beautiful and a variety of skill level - from pretty basic to very intricate!) Yes, they're a lot more in price, compared to other books, but they really are worth the investment!

This would he a little big to use traveling. Also not fan of many of the pictures. There is a large picture, and the next page is a smaller version of it. It is well made.

The thing I like about these books are the spiral tops. It makes it so easy to color the pages w/out having to try and get down in the fold. The heavy paper is also nice. It comes w/a plastic shield but I rarely need to use it. The patterns are intricate enough to be challenging but not so much as to become frustrating. I have bought several of these books and am always looking for new titles. Colored pencils are my favorite thing to use. It makes you take your time and really become lost in what you're doing. Markers are fine and I do use them sometimes, but they make it all much easier and quicker. I color to relax. These books meet that need.

This is one of the finest adult coloring books I've ever seen. I have many, many coloring books and this one is one of the best. The paper is super thick so bleed through should be very little. But, if there is some bleed through there is a plastic sheet contained in the book to place between sheets to protect the one underneath. That is a unique and wonderful addition to the book. I also love the top spiraling!! I have only two other coloring books with top spiraling and they are also some of my favorites. I think this book will be good for any medium you wish to use in it, colored pencils, marker of any kind, gel pens and whatever else you may want to try. The designs are just gorgeous and well though out. I would definitely recommend this coloring book to anyone who enjoys coloring!

I absolutely love the pictures. This artist is awesome and fun to color. My only complaint is the printing. I have gotten two books like this one. I don't know if it's just because I use gel pens to color or what but the black out line rubs off. Because I like the pictures so much I chose to keep it and just use my black in pen to put the lines back. So five stars for the artistry but probably 2 for the printing because the paper quality and single sided prints are a plus.

This book is incredibly beautiful. I'm in the UK and wanted this and the Forest book so badly, I paid a fortune to get it shipped lol. I can not recommend this more highly. The paper is wonderfully thick, one sided, and comes with a plastic insert that you can insert to protect the image below (I'm assuming for if you use alcohol based markers). I use pencils, so bleed through isn't an issue for me, however, my one complaint is that the ink that is used for printing does lift when layering and/or using a blending pencil. If I were petty, I'd deduct a star for this issue as it is irritating, but the whole book is so wonderful, I can't bring myself to give it less than 5! I really hope than any future books 's Marlin releases are available in the UK, or even her current ones. This artist definitely deserves a wider audience!
