Extremely disappointed in this tool
Extremely disappointed in this tool. Ridgid generally is a quality tool but this tool has no adjustability in snugging the chain so if your not paying very careful attention it will not cut straight. Also the indexing is wrong as 4" pipe must be cut using the 3" setting. This is a boat anchor as no one wants to use it!

Makes cutting cast iron coming down from ceiling way easier.
Makes cutting cast iron coming down from ceiling way easier. There are some tricks to fitting it so it will cut but worth the little extra effort.

Be careful request a demo before purchasing
I had this tool for a while it constantly leaves jagged edges. The press machine constantly needs calibration. I thought I had a defective item so I purchased a second one and still the same results. Cutting 3” pipe is a nightmare..... also I reached out to Rigid tech and I ran around in circles

Yikes
I'm at a commercial shop. Needed to cut down a 30' service weight stack 4". 1st cut crushed the pipe. Ok. Moved the pin in. 2 more cuts down the line went smooth and quick. Could not get it to cut anything else. Not even crush it. Recalibrated..nothing. had to use the slow repair snappers on the rest. Garbage.
