Matigard Air Home Security Wireless GSM Smart Alarm System Kits with APP for Android and IOS Smart Phones

I bought this alarm system vs the other system that I have been eyeing for because this system is capable of sending text messages/call whenever alarms or sensors are triggered. It was also so easy to set up because all you have to do is scan the bar code from each accessory through their app and it will read and automatically add to your accessory list in-app. You can also customize each accessory through the app to either:- disable; arm/disarm when home;- door chime - no alarm but only chimes when door/window is opened;- 24 hours activated even when disarmed or to entry delay - few seconds before alarm.- Instant activated when armed or in home armed modeYou can add up to 6 emergency contacts and for each contact, you can customize to either:- receive SMS- Matigard ARM- Remote ARM/DISARM (this will send you a text message whenever you or other contact persons on the list uses his/her remote control to arm/disarm)There are a lot of settings that you do with regards to this system. And since this isn't a review about the app (Magictrl), I cannot write the full details about it here. All I can say is, the app works great.CONS:1. When first initialized, I was receiving text messages to every action that I do with related to the alarm - be it activating the sensors, adding an accessory, home disarm/arm, triggered sensors etc. I would rather you turn off the SMS when doing some tests, otherwise, your minutes/sms will run out especially if you are using a prepaid SIM. I am using a T-mobile card, I bought the starter kit at Target for $10, refilled with $10 (+ taxes) and the first $10 ran out in just two days. So, I refilled another $10 and now it has lasted me more than 2 days. So, to disable the many SMS, you have to customize each Emergency Contact's settings to either:- RECEIVE SMS- MATIGARD ARM- REMOTE ARM/DISARM (this is what I turned off).2. Price is a little bit more for the set compared to other alarm systems but I can overlook that if the system is really useful and with easy workability.Other than that, this system works for me, the material they use is plastic but not the cheap plastic. I am looking forward to adding the MatiSight (their IP camera) and the Smart Plug. Kudos to a very fine product. And customer service is pleasant to communicate with. There are real people behind this product/company. I just hope they will continue to do that in the future.Of course, the experience is always subjective.

It was really easy to get it working, the app works really nice, the only issue that I have is with the mobile network, sometimes the matigard stops receiving messages, so I'm forced to reboot the device every 2 or 3 days in order to get it work again. Maybe I need to update the firmware.

I was able to navigate the language barrier within the instructions and get this all set up. I really liked it, but on January 2nd the SMS feature quit working. I emailed customer service and got a very nice reply within 24 hours. Apparently this unit, and others that are listed quad band 850/900/1800/1900 contain only 2G radios which is why it stopped working. There are no reliable 2G service providers in my area so, unfortunately I had no choice but to return this system.

I received this unit after ordered 3 days, stylish package looks well-made and high-quality.A full set of system in the box, and I am confused about these at the beginning. But great that there is an illustrated user manual with the system.Easy to set up---Just need to scan the QR code, I can pairing these functions easily, including PIR sensor, Door and window sensor and other additional accessories.Highly safe--That is the most important to me! This system need to pairing via real-time SMS, that would be more safer, and 6 emergent contacts can be set. When alarming, the 6 emergent contacts can receive calls and texts. Even I can see what is going on by a real-time video when I am working. don’t need to worry when I am out.Conveniently---I can arm/disarm the alarm system when I am at home or out. And the remote controller sensor is small, easy to carry. The app download is free and functional. You can set many by this app. Perfect for me!Last, the customer support is really great!

I purchased the Matigard system 10 months ago and it worked fine until a couple of weeks ago. I needed to change the SIM card and when I did, the system no longer communicated with the app. I’m going to try a different SIM card and see if this resolves the problem.

Excelent. I really like this alarm. I only wish I had motion sensors and cameras for external use or interperie.

Sometimes my system lights up by itself and activates the line, I'm not sure why...maybe my stalkers have gotten a hold of it, but other than that I it's OK, the design is sleek. So far happy.
