MOZA Mini P MAX Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer, Foldable 3 Axis for Mirrorless Cameras, Action Cameras

I recently purchased a Sony ZV1 Camera and needed a gimble to handle such a small camera. I also wanted all the features that came with my larger DSLR gimbals with a tenth of the weight. Enter the MOZA Mini P, and I ordered the unit on sale with a coupon, so it was priced right.The MOZA Mini-P packaging doubles as long-term storage for the gimble, better than a cardboard box with foam inserts. Embossed with the MOZA logo, the black styrofoam cube comes with a low-key plastic lock and carrying handle.The instruction booklet is functional, but the MOZA video instructions available on Youtube were way more informative. There is no beating their video instructions for this gimbal. The MOZA instructions cover all aspects of balancing cameras and cellphones on the Mini P. This was a huge help.Once you get through the first round of camera balancing, it becomes second nature. My Sony ZV-1 took a little extra time to get used, too, as the camera has a zooming barrel lense. However, lightweight cameras with FIXED prime lenses will balance smooth as butter. In addition, the list of cameras compatible with the gimbal is massive. Sony users rejoice.Operating the unit is pretty easy to do. However, I will admit I would have liked to have had a small LCD screen rather than a notification strip on the handle. I know that falls into the petty ask realm. However, I have just gotten used to having a few extra visual perks on the gimbal handle.Performance is top-notch. The MOZ MINI P gimbal motors work flawlessly. Not a single hiccup in the past three weeks as I chased behind a 3-year-olds and two puppies. It's challenging to set up and learn how to use at first. This gimbal is well built with a sleek design, fun to use. It works perfectly with my iPhones, gopro and my sony A6500. It is surprisingly easy to balance and the feature for remote control of my camera which is very helpful. A compact gimbal that you can put in your backpack to carry around. However, the folding and unfolding is not as intuitive as I would expect. It's still a good value gimbal for the high quality built, very small and light.

The Moza Mini-P gimball comes with a nice molded case which has compartments to safely store all the components and carry it.After the phone or the camera has been mounted to the Gimball using the L bracket, the adjustment needs to be made to maintain balance on the two arms with the circular Moza labels. I made adjustments to the first arm that stays vertical during Gimball powered operation. Then I adjusted for the camera mounting arm holding the camera last. This last step is easy since all you have to do is ensure that the mount point is at the highest point of the small side of the L bracket. This ensure that most of the weight is at the bottom of the bracket to ensure that it will always stay perfectly vertical.There is a black grooved slide button near the front to lock it into either folded mode for storage or unlock it to extend it for normal operation.Most likely one will need to upgrade the firmware of the Gimball as follows (on page 9 of the English section):1. when the Gimball is powered off, hold down the center black button (with the camera icon), then press the power button to turn on the Gimball.2. Start the Moza master app. Press the bluetooth icon to connect phone to the Gimball. when the firmware upgrade is finished, press the Finish button.3. Turn off power, then turn it back on.I suggest to holding the vertical axis arm closest to the Gimball in the normal stabilized position before powering up the Mini-P and during the power down.After turning on the Mini-P Gimball, it must be paired initially to the camera or smart phone to be operated with.When in the Genii app, initially the blue bluetooth icon will flash. You can press this bluetooth icon to establish bluetooth connection. Click on the Moza-mini-p-p0530 "connection" word to connect phone to the Mini-P.The joy stick on the mini-p controls the positioning of the camera. The left to right position can be adjusted by moving the joystick left to right, and up and down position can be adjusted by pressing the joystick up or down as needed.Within the Genii app you can use the W-T buttons on the side (T to zoom in, W to zoom out) to control the amount of zoom.Below the joystick, there is a black center button with the gray circle around it. Use these buttons to control the action with the Genii app to control the camera action:- the center button takes picture- the right button allows browsing the pictures already taken. The up and down buttons of the gray circle buttons can be used to go through the pictures. The other buttons didn't work for me for the phone I had paired to the Gimball.The two semi-circular arrows switches between front and back camera being the active one.The three circles icon activates various enhancements availableThe square icon on the bottom right switches between pro and auto mode of the Genii app.You can click on the area of the picture to let camera use for focus.The three dot icon brings up camera setting menu, which can change:for the video shooting mode, you can turn on anti-shake, spirit level, and whether location info is recorded.Press the three dot icon to exit setting mode.During the operation, the Gimball works smoothly to maintain the camera's configured orientation. You can use the joy stick control to change the camera orientation during operation, left/right and up or down facing.The Gimball operates smoothly and it allows making videos without jerky movement while walking with the Gimball. This allows one to make video with smooth movements, rather than the jerky ones that would result without the Gimball.The Gimball has several locks designed to protect it while it is stored inside the well made molded case. It is made of durable material so it should last a long time and it is well balanced so that it is easy to use.

It is had to find any instructions on set-up and function of this Gimble. I found one video on YouTube that went through how to set-up and the various function of the gimble. Everything seemed to work as it should for a few minutes. Then the stabilization seems to just stop.In addition, I would get it into a mode, for example pan and tilt mode. Then when I try and turn the mode off. It will not, I have to shut the main power switch to get it to go back to normal mode.Lastly it says free returns, however, they charged me 20 bucks to return it. WTH.....

Mine stopped working shortly after receiving it so I had to return for refund. Although the gimbal turned on - the motors in the gimbal arms would not activate. I've opted to look for an alternative product which is a shame as I have seen okay reviews for this product.

二台目のジンバルです。一台目はFeiyuTech SCORP C を購入しましたが、カメラよりもQooCamやスマホをセットする方が多いので、より軽量でcompactな本機を購入しました。アプリも使いやすく、バランス調整も問題無し、使い勝手は良かったです。

I purchased this item in April 2021. It is very easy to use and good quality.

基本的に、コスパ良好です。センサー1インチの小型ミラーレス・コンデジなら、いい感じで使えます。・Nikon 1で、30-110mm(換算80-300mm)は、手ブレを良好に抑えられました。バランス取った後に、多少ズームをいじっても、使えます。・Canon G7Xも、バランス取った後で、ズーム変えてもOKセンサーサイズがAPS-Cまでくると、焦点距離は固定がいいと思います。一眼レフでも、一応使えました。・Canon EOS 8000D、EF35mm F2 IS USMで使えました。ただし、一眼レフ自体の本体の左右の重さのバランスがあまり均等ではなく、ジンバルのブラケットの範囲ギリギリでの調整になりました。・Canon EOS M5、EF-M 22mm F2は、特にバランス問題なし。ジンバルのバランスは、この製品に限りませんが、Youtube等の動画サイトで見ないと分かりにくいと思います。バランスのシビアさなどを学ぶことを含めて、この製品がジンバルデビュースタートでいいように思います。以下が気になりました。①モード切り替えが、音でしか判断できない②音を切れない(？)他にも撮影している人がいると思うと、音を出したくないです。ジンバル自体は、電源入れっぱなしでもある程度電池は持ちます。しかし、カメラ側の電池が切れると、カメラを取り外して電池交換からになります。すると、ジンバルの電源のオン・オフ、モード切り替えが必要で、その時音が鳴ります。音無しでオンオフ、音ではなくLEDのインジゲーター等でモード判別をしたいです。娘の新体操の発表会で、暗い上に動きがあり、望遠が必要、ルールで三脚・一脚禁止、という撮影者泣かせの状況になりました。この製品に、Nikon 1と30-110mmレンズで、トータル2時間くらいの撮影を、乗り切れました。

以下、事実を記載しているのに2度もレビューが削除された。通常使用中にモーターの不具合で使えなくなった。使用期間は2年弱。商品購入時、商品説明欄に[24ヶ月保証]との記載があったため出品者に修理を依頼したところ、保証期間は12ヶ月までのため保証対象外との回答を得た。保証期間が事実と異なり詐欺行為に該当するため星1とした。
