Best gluten free lasagna noodles
All Tinkyada products I have tried are great, and these are no exception. It is wonderful to be able to make lasagna and still be gluten free. These noodles, like all Tinkyadas, do not lose their shape or texture when you cook them. Best of all is the short cook method -- boil them for a couple of minutes, turn the heat off and let them sit for ten minutes. Saves power and are still great. I've given some of these away to friends because I just think they are fantastic and I want everyone to use them!

EXCELLENT!
It works perfectly in a lasagna soup that I make. I cannot have gluten so this has been a life saver. I had stopped making the wonderful soup so was delighted to find these Brown Rice lasagna noodles on Amazon. They behave exactly the same when breaking them into pieces into the simmering soup for the last 15 minutes, Delicious and taste the same as the wheat pasta. So glad I found the recipe for the Lasagne soup as I can use Daiya cheese for the topping when serving because I also can no longer have dairy as used in the casserole recipe. Love, Love, Love.

Great Tasting Gluten-Free Option for Lasagne lovers!
I gave up Gluten, but with this product , I don't have to give up Lasagne! My only quibble is that it's a little pricey ...

You'd never guess it's GF
I have tried every brand of GF pasta I can find -- stuff made from corn, rice, quinoa, you name it -- and it all has a funky aftertaste, cooks up poorly, and falls apart if reheated. NOT TINKYADA!! :-) This stuff ROCKS! My hubby is super picky and not GF, but HE LOVES TINKYADA. When I serve it to my gluten-eating friends and family, they take a bite and say, "oh, too bad you can't eat this..." SURPRISE! GF doesn't have to mean icky-tasting! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) More great stuff from Tinkyada you can get here (and prices here beat the other online GF grocers as of 3/2008):Tinkyada Brown Rice, Spaghetti with Rice Bran, 16-Ounce Bags (Pack of 12)Tinkyada Brown Rice, Penne Pasta with Rice Bran, 16-Ounce Bags (Pack of 12)Tinkyada Brown Rice, Elbows with Rice Bran, 16-Ounce Bags (Pack of 12)Tinkyada Organic Brown Rice Spaghetti, 12-Ounce Bags (Pack of 12)

Tastes good but I'm unhappy with product.
Lasagna noodles were all broken into pieces.

Tasty!
Tinkyada is by far my favorite brand of gluten free pasta. When I make lasagna and serve it to guests who do not have celiac, they are always surprised to learn that the pasta is not regular wheat pasta. It does not have the distinct flavor that some gluten free rice or corn pastas have. It holds up fairly well for reheating leftovers.

Safely gluten-free, cooking is hard to get right
I love that these lasagna noodles are both organic and very safely gluten-free. But I do have trouble getting them to cook to the right consistency. When I follow the directions on the package, the noodles fall apart into pieces. So I have experimented with cooking them for a shorter time. Cooking for ten minutes, draining, and then submerging the noodles in cold water usually works. But that's a lot of work, and sometimes they still fall apart. Cooking for shorter than that and then submerging makes the noodles harden up again, which is not good!I've also experimented with using uncooked lasagna noodles directly in the lasagna. When the lasagna is saucy, that works really well. The secret seems to be:(1) Add about 1/3 cup of extra water around the edges.(2) Make sure all of the noodles, including the top layer, are submerged in sauce.(3) Cover with foil (and poke a couple of holes in the foil).(4) Bake for at least 45 minutes. The times I've done all four of these things, it has worked out perfectly. But one time the top layer of noodles wasn't submerged in sauce -- there was just cheesy stuff on top and some water -- and then the noodles rolled themselves up into long crunchy noodle tubes sitting on top of the filling, which was not very edible.
