I'm sure I'm not the only one accustomed to ordering online and getting products that are, uhm, a little less than substantial. I can say that these brackets are legit. I'm using two to hold up a butcher block breakfast bar in an RV trailer. So...decent amount of weight to hold, and in a structure that is on wheels and bouncing up and down the highways. They're doing great and look really good. Super heavy. Only downside which is pretty common with brackets like this is that a few of the screw holes are a bit tricky to reach. A long bit extension helps.

These brackets are very thick steel and incredibly sturdy. The product description says these brackets are heavy duty and they are just that - Heavy Duty! We replaced our golden oak fireplace mantel with a piece of quartzite left over from our kitchen island slab. We were advised to provide one or more supports within the existing span to prevent deflection of the stone. We purchased two Medium Heavy Duty Shelf Brackets and attached them to our brick using 3/16" Tapcon masonry screws. These screws fit nicely in the two (2) pre-drilled holes present in each arm of the bracket. The color and finish on the brackets is really beautiful, but we elected to spray paint ours to coordinate with the stainless steel finish of our fireplace insert. We highly recommend these brackets - they were the perfect choice for our project.

I am a mantel maker and use these often for solid cedar beams. Very strong and sturdy. They will hold a lot of weight as long as they are fixed to the wall, brick or stone properly. I will say they could be a little easier to install the top mounting screws...its a pretty tight fit. These are exactly as advertised.

These are very high quality brackets. The only downside is access to the upper screw hole is a challenge. The manufacturer should drill a hole in the cross brace to allow a screwdriver to pass through.

My husband and I just built a new house a couple miles from my family farm, where I grew up. We had a barn that was built in 1850 and it recently began falling down. I was lucky enough to salvage a couple of pieces of wood from it and have it made into a mantle at our new house.These brackets were perfect for the look I was going for, and they're also hefty and super sturdy. Really, really happy I found them!

These worked great to mount my wood mantel, estimated at 40-50 pounds. They worked great the only tricky part was trying to get a screwdriver into the small area behind the curve of the metal. How do you use the special tool and got it done. Now to finish rocking the fireplace!

Very strong, great clean finish on the welds. The powder coating finish is also well done. Greta product.
