Product Display Shots are Misleading
As the old adage goes, a picture is worth a 1,000 words...and that has that never seemed more true. Just check out the pictures I’ve attached to this review, then look at the product display shot of the white screen I purchased. That shot shows three tightly woven panels which appear to provide a full screening. All the dowel sticks look white as do the supporting frame posts that look to be fully covered with fiber. Now, look at my photos. There are irregular gaps between strips on most of the section panels, some large enough to clearly see through. In a related issue, there are variations in how tightly the strips are woven around the dowels. The strips of fiber were dyed white, but not with uniformity because at times they look flat white, but at others, there is a tinge of yellow. No attempt was made to make the vertical supporting dowels white; they are a natural wood color as are the equally visible square frame posts. Now, the frame posts are particularly problematic. Because they were not pre-wrapped with fiber before the strips were attached, they are large gaps where these posts are exposed. And in the case of some of these frame posts, the large gaps expose that they are of a lessor grade wood, as shown in one of my photos.)Aa for the weaving, it has been done without constant attention to detail. There is a real inconsistency in how the ends of strips are handled. Some are firmly glued down; but others are unattached and/or poke out (see photo that captures just one example). Further, there are just slight overlaps between the ends of strands in some cases but as much as six inches of overlap in others, creating a blotchy look because the overlapped sections are more opaque (as evident in several of my photos).Which brings me to the issue of opacity. In the daylight yesterday, I had thought maybe I had gotten another model because each of my panels has five sections and I only saw three (one short at the top, another short at the bottom and a long middle section) in the product display photo. But last night, with no back light, I didn’t see the two back supports ( nor any of blotchiness where the strips haphazardly overlap, for that matter.) I tried to show this difference in one of my photos which shows the middle panel faced away from any light and one of the side panels facing a window in daylight. Now, to be fair, I will point out that the description does say “this design does allow some light and air to pass though the panels, and does not shut light out completely.” I appreciate that disclosure; however, I do wonder, then, why no photographs were taken that show the blockage is moderate at best in a well lit room? In other words, why do all these product shots make the screens look opaque? I assume that most people are like me. The description is valuable but the photos are the first and dominant factor in my decisions. If the product display shots misleading, then I am likely to be mislead, regardless of disclosures made at the end of the product description, near the bottom of the page.Another thing I will point out in fairness is that the screen is accurately described as lightweight, which is important if you plan to use the screen only when needed or to use it in multiple locations. I have moved a heavier, more solidly built screen the same size by myself, and it is unwieldy. Still, there are just too many quality control issues for me to make this screen recommendable even if it is easy to move around.

looks good
not quite what we expected, could be a bit more sturdy

Not as shown. Disappointed.
***UPDATE***I decided I should not have to try and paint an item I paid good money for, so I decided to return it. Thankfully I had kept the boxes!Disappointed that the white screen is not entirely white! The “dowel rods” are unpainted which makes the screen look unfinished. It definitely does NOT look like the photos. I wish I would have looked better at the reviews. Also, be careful how you move it or you may break through it! I hold on to the harder areas, not the woven areas. Since it is so large (hard to return) and works for what I wanted it for, I am keeping it. I am considering painting it...not sure if that will work though.

No heft, no blockage, but sure is pretty.
This panel is incredibly lightweight. Even with the slightest breeze, it will blow in the wind. I had to place my outdoor barbecue table in front of it and facet parts of the divider to my fence with some zip ties. It doesn't entirely block the light out; I bought it so I don't have to stare at the neighbors, but they can still KINDA see in between the open spots. It's cheaply made with lackluster hardware. But, it sure is pretty to look at...from a distance.

Pretty and functional
Pretty and gets the job done. This arrived in a beat up cardboard flat box and only padded with thin styrofoam sheets. The edges of the box were crushed and multiply taped, which made me suspicious of the condition. Fortunately, it was undamaged, but I unpacked it thinking I was going to have to send it back....I didn't.The quality is a bit flimsy, but when handled with care, it's lightweight nature is a plus for me. I have 2 others similar to this that are heavier made, and a pain to move around. The only design flaw is that the basket-weave "endings" are just "tucked in". I'm going to go around and glue them more securely, as like some wicker furniture, comes unraveled with time and use.Overall, it's very pretty and relatively inexpensive compared to some others. I really like the white as it's bright and fresh.

6 panel version provides privacy and is sturdy
I needed something to use in front of a window in place of a curtain/blinds. I love this b/c I was able to get it in a 6 panel size instead of ordering two smaller dividers. Because mine has six panels I haven't had any problems with sturdiness and I do move it daily. If you're looking for something completely opaque this isn't it. Light will show through, but for me this is a non issue as it provides just the amount of privacy I'm looking for.It does come shipped in styrofoam and there will be little pieces that break off. Honestly I was just careful with the way I unpacked it and it was not a big deal at all to use the hose attachment on my vacuum to clean up any stray pieces on the divider itself. So I'm not really sure why people seem to be freaking out about the styrofoam in their reviews. I'd rather it arrive to me undamaged than be upset about some styrofoam cleanup.

Nothing to write home about
I was going to give this a better review before I remembered how much I paid for it. "Okay" is a perfect description for this screen.Pros: It stands up well, it's lightweight and folds down to a very compact depth (less than 5" for the 5-panel screen).Cons: Build quality is pretty weak, especially for the price. If I bought this for $75, I probably wouldn't complain, but it cost more like $150. It definitely looks nicer in the pictures than it does in person. It's not ugly, just a bit flimsy and there are a lot of cracks/irregularities in the weaving. Also, it was shipped packed in styrofoam that (a) isn't great for the planet and (b) got EVERYWHERE--I had to literally dustbust the entire surface of the thing. Right out of the box, there were already places where the weave was broken, and the hinges were already somewhat rusty.None of these are truly major issues, and it does stand up well and effectively screen space. So it's, well, okay. But I would definitely feel a lot more satisfied with this purchase if it had been like half the price.

Lightweight Room Separators!
My husband and I share a 2nd bedroom, he uses it for junk/storage and clothing and I use it for my home office. I really needed something to ‘create ‘ more separation and this fit the bill. Arrived really quick and no assembly. Super light too. I only gave 4 stars as the price, over $200 all in is a bit steep for the quality but it works. See before and after pics

Sturdy, stealthy, and aesthetically pleasing!
I have been looking for a room divider that a) hid my MASSIVE treadmill and b) fit my decor for years, and this one really does it.Each individual panel is 19" wide, so they're very big - I ended up getting the 4 panel unit, which ended up being perfect. But best of all, it's very tall (71") and completely hides my treadmill which is 70" (which was the ultimate goal!) There really don't seem to be a lot of other frames that are this big at this decent price range. The frame itself is very sturdy and quite thick, and that is with a mischievous cat trying her best to knock it over over the past month!
