FUL Rig 30 Inch Rolling Duffel Bag, Travel Luggage with Wheels

We have three other Ful duffle bags we bought years ago and this one is nothing like them accept for the shape and configuration. The fabric is far lighter, thus the bag is less rigid, and the zippers are lower quality. After the first outing, two weeks in two locations, it’s falling apart.First the zippers started popping open. And the bag was only 3/4’s full. The bottom big one first then the top one. Each time I closed it I had to pull on the zippers to ensure they’d stay closed.Then while traveling a couple blocks on foot I found out how cheap the fabric is. The old bags have fabric that seems twice as sturdy. This new one bent backwards and kept dragging on the pavement as I towed it. Now the back of the back has worn threw spots. I think this is also partly because the wheels seem placed inwards more.Either way our other three Ful bags have been through years of far harder international travel and all still have sturdy zippers, rigid fabric, and no holes.Don’t buy this bag it’s a waste of money.

I bought this bag to replace a 20 year old High Sierra rolling duffel that had seen better days. It was a bright, beautiful red, hard to miss on the baggage carousel. It was only a shade over 7 lbs, which is what I was looking for. It had a great big opening to make it easy to put things in and take them out. When you're done using it, it collapsed to only a few inches high, making it easy to store. Note that I keep saying "had" instead of "has", and "was" instead of "is". Unfortunately, the very first time I used it, someone or something at the Seattle airport baggage facility twisted and tore off a sturdy, metal zipper on the front. The zippers they use are very sturdy. I don't see how it could have happened except by getting caught in a baggage loading machine, which twisted and broke it off. Now the bag is useless, unless I could find some way to securely close up the pocket the zipper used to close. I can't leave it open because it's on the very front of the bag, and would be something even easier for a baggage handing machines to grab onto.I bought it months ago but hadn't had a chance to use it until a couple of weeks ago. After the incident, I stewed about it for awhile, then I took a chance and sent an email to fūl, telling them about the problem. Someone got back to me the same day, asking for photos of the damage, Amazon receipt, my address, etc. I still didn't have any real hope that they would come thru for me. Lo and behold, just a day later, they said they would be sending me a new bag, AND they APOLOGIZED for not having any more red ones. I took one more "gutsy" (at least for me) shot and asked if the would consider sending me the next model up, which cost $100 more than the one I had. I got an email the next day, saying they would replace my red one with the more expensive bag 🤯. I've very seldom received customer service like that! In fact, I could count the times on one hand, even if I was missing a few fingers. Consider giving these folks your business. Service like that deserves to be rewarded. Bravo, fūl.EDIT: I said the bag weighs "a shade over 7 lbs". The product info says that the Rig duffel weighs 10.8 lbs. It didn't feel that heavy to me, but they would know.

Fūl used to be a quality product. This is the 3rd bag I have purchased of theirs in the last 12 years. I love the way it packs. We travel a lot and the former bags got beaten up pretty badly but never failed. Zippers were good. The outer shell was sturdy. The "bones" of the bag were good quality. The bag is received is subpar. The material is flimsy, the zippers are cheap, and the sides in the bottom compartment have no stiffness. I'm going to use the bag and beat the crap out of it just like the others but I'm guessing this bag will last 6 months at best. Very disappointed.

My last suitcase was also a Ful brand rolling duffle. It was made of durable, beefy material with thick zippers, and a trustworthy plastic bottom shell. I had it for about 7 years, and abused it with work travel. It finally started to fall apart, so I decided to go straight to another Ful duffle without even looking at reviews.Big mistake. Like many other products over the years, Ful suitcases have dramatically declined in quality. The zippers were cheap, dinky little things that were already broken/unusable right out of the box.The "shell" on the bottom felt about like the quality of a plastic paper holder my kids might use for school.And the material is like the quality of a wind-breaker jacket you might buy at Wally World.I had it out of the box for about 7 minutes before I just packed it back up and submitted a return. Now I begin the hunt for my next brand of duffles and leave Ful in the rear-view mirror.

I owned a similar FUL bag for many years - it was made of super heavy duty materials with tough zippers. It took a beating - I loved it. This version has the same shape, but the material is bare-bones thin, and the zippers are absolutely useless. The zippers are flimsy and thin, and are constantly separating. This is clearly a company cashing in on a brand name. This bag is ABSOLUTE TRASH.I bought this bag based on my previous experience with FUL, discounting the negative reviews. My advice - don't make my mistake. Believe the negative reviews. This was a deeply disappointing purchase and I wish I had bought anything else.

This bag is to replace the same style FUL bag purchased close to two decades ago at Costco. That bag has been amazing for travel and so durable, but has finally started to fall apart at the seams. This brand new bag is clearly subpar to its predecessor. There is no support in the walls of the bottom storage area. The material overall is thin, it clearly will not make many trips through the airport before there will be tearing. Not at all the quality expected, which is why I ordered the FUL option - thinking I knew what I was getting. May order others to compare now and return this one. Totally disappointed.
