Great wheels but requires more hardware
Ok defininitive review here. I bought the 60mm 78a wheels for my double kick skateboard. These wheels with the Shiver ABEC9 bearings are absolutely outstanding!!! The skateboard will roll on its own on my tiled garage floor with a 2 degree pitch which is fantastic. HERE IS THE PROBLEM - if you buy these for a traditional skateboard or something other than a long board You WILL NEED TO BUY 1/2" riser pads ands 1.25" to 1.5" hardware with nyloc nuts otherwise you will get wheel bite and screw up the bottom of the board just by doing anything other than going straight like leaning or doing light turns. I didn't notice the difference in board feel with the stock 1/4" riser pads to the 1/2" pads so it really shouldn't be an issue. So you need a little more than just the 60mm 78a wheels for your traditional skateboard, I don't mind just wish I knew up front and had ordered it all together. I don't do tricks, just cruise around city streets and pavement and these totally make a difference and highly recommend. I can't speak for longevity yet, but I don't think it will be an issue.

Disappointed
I love my 70mm Shark wheels. They're great for my everyday cruising needs and are nearly unstoppable. Needless to say I was excited at the prospect of these becoming my new skate wheels. Yeah, I know they're not the most conventional wheels for tricks, but I've had a great time with my 70s.So I bought these 60s expecting a similarly-smooth ride. I did kind of get that for the first few rides. However, it quickly became apparent that the bearings like to just fall out of these wheels. What I mean is, the wheels will not hold bearings for long. You can put them in and they might stay in, but if they are subjected to the slightest force, they'll fall right out. This translates to a worse ride than if I just used regular skate wheels. I don't know if this is a defect or if this is common among all 60s, but I certainly don't have this problem with my 70s.

although great standard wheels
I originally used Penny board wheels on my skateboard and then replaced them with these. With the Penny wheels, although great standard wheels, if they were to roll over gravel in the road or go over a big crack, the wheels would catch and throw me off the board. Once I put on the Shark Wheels amazingly they just rolled right over top of gravel and big cracks in the road without any issues. These have got to be better than any standard skateboarding wheels.

Great concept, not a bad wheel, but over-hyped.
Disappointing. I used them with a landyachtz dinghy cruiser that came with stock Hawgz wheels (63mm, 78a). The difference is marginal. You might feel a larger improvement if your usual board has smaller harder wheels. The shark wheels are good for rolling over small gravel, debris etc, but it they do no different than the stock wheels for small cracks and bumps. In fact, I got thrown off the board when the wheels got caught in a drain cover with narrow grilles; the stock wheels rolled right over the same drain cover with no problems.

Best wheels
Wheels are dope, odd tho all my 59mm wheels are larger than these and i was able to drop my riser height, doubt their 60mm. But, despite me seeing 60mm wheels for 30 years and these seeming smaller, they shred through rocks, they grip through tight turns, and its obviously easier to slide with these, this is coming from someone who couldnt slide unless the ground was wet. And I think its the high quality cores in these because my bearings are rolling a lot faster compared to anyother wheels I put on, its odd but I appreciate it. True convert, wont ever ride my cruisers without shark wheels.

Great Wheels. Poor Delivery
I Only gave this 4 out of 5 stars due to the fact that I had to buy the same item twice. First time I bought it, I received an led lamp instead of the shark wheels but they quickly fixed that issue by giving me a refund .The shark wheels 60mm 78a are a perfect size for creating a cruising setup on an 36" range board. I choose to use them on a skateboard deck. the diameter is a little too small for a longboard setup. I would recommend a range from 70mm to 85mm if you plan on using the shark wheels for a longboard setup. The durometer range for these wheels is right around the middle. It's a little harder than I expected so a lot of the ground vibrations can be felt through the board. The wheels overall lip profile and contact path with the ground is large enough that it can go over cracks in the sidewalk fairly easily. It can also go over objects like smalls twigs and branches easily as long as the board has some speed when traveling over the object. The wheels like advertised do a great job for sliding in comparison to other standard wheels. The hardness of the wheel allows for it to not stick so much to the ground which helps with accelerating on the board. The sine wave design along with the large lip profile gives the wheels a thin contact path with provides less friction. This allows the wheels to not only slide easier, but after the initial break away from the slide, it allows the wheels to recover a lot quicker. This leads to much better slides and recovers in comparison to a lot of other wheels that I've tested. The groove pattern is also great for channeling things such as dirt, small rocks, pebbles, dust, and liquid through the wheels which provides less friction and more grip to the ground when riding. Now i wouldn't recommend riding through puddles simply because it can ruin the bearings in the wheel or the board if the water gets into it, but it does make it easier to ride through water when compared to standard wheels. Overall, These wheels are great wheels for cruising on a medium sized board setup. It's good for speed and control of your board and somewhat better for sliding in comparison to standard wheels. The vender does a great job at the delivery time. Took me about 3 days to receive them. The wheels are a good price too at $40. If it wasn't for the delivery mess up that I initially had to deal with, I would give these wheels and vendor 5 stars.

Id buy again
Good and different wheel, it isn't really square but they do make a difference in your ride. Some people have said that they didn't see a difference but if your already riding a larger and softer wheel stay with it, but if you want something different or are going right from standard wheels you will see a big difference. Less traction though since there are only three contact points instead of the whole wheel. I recommend you try it even as a set you switch on and off.

These look really odd but man they work.
I have these on my pool board which I use for my daily commute which can be up to 6 miles a day.The roads around me are pretty awful so the 78a hardness takes a lot of the vibration out and reduces the amount of noise. Now for the shape. I was sceptical if they would make any diffrence but they really do, the sine wave definetly reduces the risk of the wheel jamming on cracks and esspecially pebbles. On multiple occasions I have felt the wheel bite down on a pebble and just at the moment a standard wheel would wedge and I would go flying, the shark wheel will bite and then spit the pebble out sideways. They are also baring up really well and are still pretty much unscathed even after months of daily comutes compared to two sets of minilogo 78a wheels which only lasted around 2 weeks each.I wouldnt recomend them for the park or tricks but for cruising I dont think I would go back to standard wheels. Plus they look square and that seems to freak folk out.

Worth the money!!!!
Oh my goodness, these wheels are ridiculously amazing!!! I use them on my cruiser board to commute to work and go to the shops. My previous cruiser wheels are really good too, but these are a noticeable step up in smoothness of ride, speed and no stalling on stones. Can't recommend highly enough.

Fantastic.
I wish people would stop saying that things are all-terrain. I've seen two all-terrain methods of transportation in my life - a water-proofed electric jeep that rode into the river and then reversed while I was at Old Port during an event with alternative power sources being displayed.. And the Montreal amphi-bus. You will NEVER have tiny little wheels that are all-terrain. Period. That being said, these work wonderfully. I'm 6' 3", and 220lbs. Usually gravel and crappy pavement would be my nemesis, but this chewed up the gravel very nicely (just a spray of gravel, no pits), climbed a few twigs and very small sticks, and rode over nasty pavement very nicely. That's three things that every other wheel I've tried failed miserably to do. I get more speed than with normal wheels, and more distance. That's two things that every other wheel I've tried did, but not as well. These had a few of my friends questioning my board's safety, thinking I had square wheels until they figured it out, leading to some good jokes. That's one thing nothing "skateboard" has led to in the past. So these were quite well worth the money. Please do avoid pot-holes, huge cracks in the crappy Montreal roads, metal sewer grates of all sizes, sand piles, and whatever Montreal's terrible roads throw at you, for our roads are a terrain that not even ATVs would drive straight through. Unless you've been drinking. That is, as the joke goes, how to spot a drunk driver in Montreal.

Definitely *NOT* faster or smoother than standard wheels. Interesting concept. Questionable quality.
Damn.....I wanted to like these. The concept is interesting and they looked good, that is until I saw the urethane pour nubs on the inside of each wheel. These were untrimmed and let's face it, just look cheap, unfinished and unprofessional. I'd have expected better as these wheels aren't cheap! Quite a few air bubbles too. Next alarm bell came when I found that my bearings sat quite loosely inside 3 of the 4 wheels. The manufacturing and quality-control definitely needs a shake-up.Performance, however, is ultimately the most important thing. I could have forgiven the above if the Shark wheels performed well but I have to say I was pretty unimpressed. I swapped my OJ's on my cruiser board out for these and I have to say the Shark wheels were *noticeably* worse. And this was having swapped good quality (broken-in) bearings from my OJ's and put them straight into the Shark wheels so it was a fair contest. Everything else being equal, the Shark wheels just didn't perform nearly as well. Felt slower and definitely less smooth. In fact, there was a weird, noticeable vibration when riding on a smooth skatepark surface, which I can only put down to the shape / design of the wheels and probably the bearings not sitting well inside the wheels. It felt like skating with standard skateboard wheels when they have flatspotted. Two other skaters also tried my board and came to the same conclusion. It's a pity but all in all, Shark wheels feel a lot more like a gimmick than the next evolution of skate wheels. From my experience, you'd do far better just buying standard wheels.

Best wheels ever!
I got these so I can skate around the local park on my penny board in all weathers with my dog, works a treat! Not only good in the wet/damp weather but you can see it actively moving sticks/rocks out of the way, genius!.. oh pretty damn fast too
