Not at all as good as what I was expecting !!!
Dan Huff is a great guitar player and the playing on this cd is decent. The first song on this cd Exception to the Rule sounds exactly like Kayleigh by the band Marillion. I am not saying all the songs are bad.....some are better than others. Maybe I am being a little harsh. The Giant cds in my opinion are much better. There are a few songs on this cd that are very good. Not impressed.

Great classic Huff!
I've been a Dann Huff fan since his White Heart days. While his guitar work can be found all over the place, there's very little out there that is mainly just him. These pieces are all very dated...no mistaking that they come from the 80s. But I still enjoy 80s music, and while some of these solos I recognize from his White Heart days, most are pieces I'd never heard before. There's a variety of styles and moods (in fact it almost feels like a demo...anyone know if maybe that's what it was?) and all are excellent! A great album for any Dann Huff fan!

Great for just listening.If you have a aspiring guitarist in the family,lend them a listen too.One of Nashville's top session guitarists the opening solo on Giant's album"I'm a Believer"is legend.

I tend to like anything Dann Huff did
I tend to like anything Dann Huff did. Most people would find this album a bit dull though. Contains a lot of short guitar riffs. Some good, some so-so

Most of them aren't really something to speak of but I liked "winter," "walnut hill," "light" and my favorite is "love," an absolutely awesome solo, a classic Dann Huff work.

Very dissapointing
Great guitar player...disappointing album. This album seems to be just a bunch of edits from songs / tracks highlighting some solos Dan has played. I was expecting an actual album with structured songs - not just bits and pieces of edited playing. There is some great playing here but nothing is in the context of a song. Very disappointed.
