Soft Kitty...
My kitty preferred this over the cone! The cone made her tip over it was so big and hurt her neck.Luckily this came early in the mail and she only had to wear the plastic cone for a few days.LOVED how soft this was and Super easy to apply to her without struggle. My only DISLIKE is that when she goes to drink water it got sopping wet and therefore got dirty really fast. SO I had to wash it at night and put her in a cage.

Perfect for tiny kittens!
I got this for a foster kitten with a terrible tail injury, to prevent her from licking the wound and later the amputation site. She was about 3 weeks old and 1.5 lbs, so she was way too small for any readily available cone. Although we used the paper plate trick, it just didn't seem comfortable for 24 hour use. She was already going through so much, and we really wanted to make her as comfortable as possible! I spent hours looking through products and reviews before finding this little neck pillow, and took a chance on it. IT'S PERFECT!It's comfortable, easy to clean and keeps it's shape even after weeks of non-stop use. The inside cord is adjustable and it stays in place once you've fit it to the animal. We would fit it with just a bit of extra room (maybe finger width) for comfort, and this also gave just enough space to tuck the end of the cord in so it wasn't dangling over the pillow or getting in the way. I took it off for her to eat and for about 30 minutes of cuddles/neck scratches each day, but other than that she wore it full-time. It even went through surgery with her! I loved how adjustable it was even for such a small baby, and how it is lightweight and gave her a little pillow to rest her chin on when she napped. I don't think any animal enjoys having something on their neck, but this really seems like the best possible option. Highly, highly recommended - especially for littles!

Better Alternative to traditional plastic E Collars
I noticed a significant behavioral change from switching to the KUDES collar. My 5-mo old had spay surgery and was outfitted with a standard plastic cone, which was totally effective at wound care but also interfered with "normal" behaviors like napping, grooming, and social interaction with her brother of the same age. The KUDES collar was equally effective at protecting her abdominal sutures, while also allowing for the other normal stuff and my kitty's behaviors immediately changed for the better. Some drawbacks include that the collar frequently gets "dipped" into her water bowl and comes out soaked on one end, but I haven't noticed any lasting consequences to that. Also, she is not a collar kitty in general, so she succeeded twice in wriggling out of it, so I would suggest closely monitoring your cat for the first day or two until you find the sweet spot for how tight the collar should be cinched up. Super adjustable though, so thatโs pretty easy.

I am giving this a 4 out of 5, cuz the string it comes with sucks
The string that comes with the cushion sucks. You need to remove it and add your pets collar in the seem. Your pet will be comfortable. My cat has been able to drink and eat more comfortably with this flower cushion.

X-Small for 4lb kitten...
Edit one week later: Ok, look, everything I said below is true, but you have to understand I'm a dog person, not familiar with cats, eventually the swelling goes down and even with the larger, size small not x-small, his tongue can reach the stitches on his tail now. Like the swelling went down and now he can reach it even with the bigger one we bought. So... I would still buy again even just for the week after surgery... but eventually his flexible butt can reach his butt....... I purchased 2, X-small and small because I wasn't sure which one would work. His hind leg was amputated. With the X-small, he can reach his good hind leg to lick but he can not reach his stitches on the other side. With the small, he likely could not reach anything to lick but as it's ok to lick his good leg we're using the X-small and not returning the small... just in case. Way better than the cone, even the fabric cone is torture for him. He did manage to get his front leg stuck up in it when I had it too loose, but my husband sticks two fingers in and he can't get it off now and hasn't really tried since that incident. At first, you may have to put it tighter than you want to, let him accept the fact that he can't get it off, then you can loosen it a bit.

Not machine washable & gets really dirty
meant for kittens, gets dirty with litter box use and water drinking makes it soaked so clump litter gets stuck.. washing it made it burst at the seam. I work with cat rescue so am getting kitties fixed frequently, still trying to find a comfy and machine washable affordable brand

Great for reusibility with foster kittens
I foster kittens & this works perfect for post spay/neuter surgeries. It's far more comfortable than the traditional plastic cone. I suggest placing it on the pet the day before surgery so they get used to it prior to surgery. This will avoid a lot of wiggling post surgery as they get used to it.

Only thing that worked
This was the only cone that my cat could keep on while recovering from her spay. No cone is fun for her, but with this one she was at least able to be comfortable and rest her head on it.
