This is one of them tools that you end up buying a cheap version for the odd job, but barely do the job and does not last. DEPSTECH is known for its quality endoscopes and after a failed attempt at getting a cheap endoscope, I thought I would stick to my own rule that you only get what you pay for.This certainly was more expensive than my cheap one, but as soon as you hold this in your hand you know you have a quality product. The wire is semi ridged which means you can bend it so it's flexible yet stiff enough to push through cavities of walls. The length is very long but in my case, I didn't need such lengths, but nice to have.Before I started using this on any job I tested it and there is no better way than to put it into my mouth. The image quality was exceptional. The software setup is easy but it does require that I manually connect to the wifi of the DEPSTECH, then open and connect the app which I found a bit annoying. Once its connected to your phone, IPad or computer you can view, record and take snapshots. This didn't work too well on PC as you cant change the location of the captured images as it kept reverting back.Charging was easy but it doesn't come with any power adaptor or lead so you will need to use your own phone charger or USB lead to your computer. Once charged the charge last a good few sessions in which I left the camera on for 30 plus minutes at a time.The dual cameras were a nice addition as you can see directly in front and to the side either one at a time or dual view in the software. This is very handy when pushing the endoscope through wall cavities while wanting to see what's around the cavity. The light can be controlled in its intensity and at full power, it can get quite hot.As mentioned I did put this endoscope in my mouth and was able to get exceptional image quality. The colour was good and was clear. It did not fog over despite its location. I then put this down the sink and again got good images. I put the tap on and totally submerged it in water. Finally, I put this in the toilet and again it performed as expected. Note the order I did these tests.You get what you pay for and this once again shows this motto rings true. A quality product that can be used for a number of situations, yes including checking my teeth, but I'm not advocating you use it for that.This has not had long-term use so can't comment on durability but I already know I won't have any problems going by its build quality.

good clear picture quality easy to use

The media could not be loaded. Needed to investigate where a leak was coming from in the car under the bonnet.After having taking it the car to local garages, they could not find the cause or location of the leak.A quick look on Amazon and after reading reviews form other users I ordered it and it was delivered via Prime next day....WOW..what can I say. Really impressed with the quality of the image. Doubted that this would be any good as the scope was to be used under the bonnet where it was particularly dark with the bonnet closed. The built in LED is bright and was able to capture the attached video. Connected via WiFi to my iPhone, downloaded the APP and after charging the built in battery, it was mounted near the injectors and the cable / camera were held down with the yellow velcro tag that is attached to the lead.The phone was mounted in its holder in the car and I drove whilst setting the APP to record the footage. There ware no dropped frames or interference - especially as it was mounted in between the high voltage cables and areas of heat.The WiFi signal and battery life are excellent, the captured footage showed where the leak was coming from (injector 1 seal),. The scope has more than paid for itself as it has saved time and money in trying to diagnose the leaking further.Would recommend for loads of different jobs around the house and garage where there is a need to see around tight spaces etc.

I have today used the product to inspect the inside of my engine by removing a spark plug to check the condition of the bore. I tried to perform this job previously with an older model camera, however the resolution was only 720p, the light was not adjustable and it only had the main front facing camera which made the whole job a real pain.With the added resolution of this model and especially the side facing camera, i could easily see the cylinder bore walls and saved the video in the Depstech View app for later inspection.The light at the end of the camera part is fully adjustable and plenty bright enough for the cameras intended use which is obviously close-up inspection work.The cameras "wire" is very stiff and although i haven't tested this, id imagine it would be absolutely fine when used inside of insulated wall cavities to survey for cabling routes!They also include a small pot with attachments, one being a little hook which (as per my last comment) would be great for fishing cables inside of walls.Overall, super pleased with the item. The camera performs great, picture quality if perfect for the job it was intended to do and its already saved me a trip to a mechanic's shop to use their expensive equipment!If you're a plumber, and electrician a mechanic or even just someone like me who's interested in DIY jobs (or a tool hoarder!) pick one up!

Bought for a particular problem leak from second floor shower. I found the problem with it quickly. It seems well made and easy to use, I have found two other occasions to use it since then and I’m happy to have it in my toolbox. Price was good too

Whether looking around obscure places under a car bonnet, around engine rooms, inside engines, along household pipes, under floors or inside building cavity, this endoscope is ideal. The stiffness of the cable is ideal and will support itself up to about four feet. The clarity of the pictures is excellent on both the forward and side camera. For even better image sizes, the camera can be used on the likes of a kindle, for larger images and mobility.
