For the low Cost I a real happy with this remote. For my Vizio TV the remote worked without having to input set up code. Also I have a sound bar and I was able to enter a sound code to use the sound bar and not the built in tv speakers. The instructions booklet is good

Good overall and works well with my Apple TV. I had to dock on star due to the clicking noises that comes from the arrow and “ok” buttons but good product overall.

Broke a Logitech Harmony trying to close it up after cleaning and swapping buttons from a old one. Wasn't going to pay what they want for a new one. Found this and guess what. Controls the Vizio tv just like the original, but it also controls the audio on my old Kenwood receiver and even my Xbox one X. Affordable, light and seems durable, so I won't get too mad when my 3 and 6 year olds mistreat it.

The Philips replacement remote, pre-programmed for Samsung (and Roku) is a flexible remote that can be easily programmed for devices – streaming (Roku and Apple TV, and probably others), Blu-Tooth players, and Sound bars from many different manufacturers.Although the remote is designed to work with Samsung TVs, right out of the box, I found that it didn’t support some of the functions that my Samsung remote could – for example, I wasn’t able to find a key combination to set a sleep timer. The placement of the keys isn’t very easy, either – it’s hard to find the mute button (it’s just under the 0 key, and I often have to look at the controller to be able to find the key that I want. My OEM controller was easier to use.The controller also doesn’t feature keys for smart devices. I programmed this for a Sharp television – but there’s isn’t a specific button for Netflix or other streaming services.Howver, I didn’t have a lot of choice – my Sharp controller stopped controlling the volume on my TV and, rather than replace the TV or get a new Sharp controller, I found that this can meet most of my needs. It’s possible that, in experimenting with buttons, I’ll find the key combinations that I’m looking for – but I’m not going to hold my breath.Although the controller is supposed to be pre-programmed for Roku, it won’t control my Roku Stick +, which is behind the TV. The controller probably doesn’t send a Bluetooth signal to the device that’s hiding. The streaming function may work with devices that actually have exposure to the InfraRed pulses that this controller emits.As an inexpensive replacement for the OEM remote control, this is a pretty good remote – although there are others that are considerably better.

WE love this reomte and it has come in handy. My husband is always losing the reomte so this is super to have an extra one around just in case.

I purchased this specifically to replace my DirectTV remote control. Several codes are provided for DirecTV, about the codes half partially worked. Several of the frequently used functions worked, but displaying the list of channels did not work, A VITAL FUNCTION ON A REMOTE DID NOT WORK ON THIS REMOTE. Some of the functions that did work, the button labels didn't quite match the function. About half the codes provided for DirecTV remotes didn't work at all (which is typical for a universal remote).The frequently used functions for my Samsung TV appeared to work, but I didn't buy the remote for my TV.I would avoid buying this remote to replace any satellite provider. Philips did a completely inadequate job of testing this remote. They should be embarrassed!

with our smart tv there are only about 6 buttons we use on the whole remote. the numbers are on it are absolutely worthless- don't need them for anything. I will buy again but only because there are only a few remotes that work on my tv
