Love it
Despite a high price, I must say that they are built tough and are easy to install compare to the ones I bought at Home Depot.

Not made from one piece, but rather two pieces of junk
This product, while made of brass, has been machined into two pieces that are so poorly made, they'll never stop leaking. There is no way ever for these to not leak. Anyone that has bought these and not experienced serious leakage, should go get a lottery ticket. As a CNC machinist for 30 years, I can't believe they made this junk into two pieces, just to maybe, and I do mean maybe, save a penny on material.Once again, China garbage for us dumb US consumers.

Sprays everywhere
I know what you're thinking. You want a metal connector, not a cheap plastic one. You know that the barb alone won't hold, but see that this includes a metal clamp. You know better than to get a one piece part, because then you would have to rotate the entire hose to attach it to a faucet or other hose instead of just screwing on the cap. There are three places this part can leak, and it will probably be spraying from all three.1) The screw-on cap is very shallow and barely screws on. You get less than two full rotations with a washer inside the cap, and just over two without (which of course sprays even more).2) The barbs are very shallow - they slip on AND OFF the inside of the hose very easily. I suppose if you could tighten the clamp hard enough you might get it to seal. With 1/2 inch drip irrigation hose I never could.3) No matter what you do, it will spray from between the two parts.Maybe this product works if you have very low water pressure, or never pressurize the hose by restricting the flow in any way. Maybe it works if you glue it on and severely tighten the cap with pliers every time you use it and never apply any sideways pressure (like moving the hose). But in the real world IT DOES NOT SEAL and sprays everywhere.

Barely meets the standard.
You will notice the threads that fit this onto a garden hose are really shallow - it will only cover 1/2 of the threads on a standard faucet. This means when you turn it on water will spray out of the threaded portion. On the other side, it fits easily into a 1/2" tube (0.500" ID / 0.620" OD) but the screw is really cheap and is incredibly hard to tighten. Water came out everywhere. They should have used one of those screws that also has a hex head so you can use a small wrench or ratchet to turn it.Would not buy again.

Metal is weak. Easily broke
Bought these to create a hose watering station on our porch. These were inserted into pex water line, allowing a garden hose to connect to the pex. Within two weeks both connections broke and the metal ripped from the pressure of the water. I had to replace both of them with thicker metal connectors. I would not recommend.
