We were using an old colander for washing rice and the steel was slightly coming apart, so we would always risk scraping our hands when using it. I had tried to upgrade with another set but the holes were too large...then I found this set. Before this I did not realize that steel sieves could be of this quality - the steel is very tight and smooth, whereas the steel ones I had before this were wound a little loosely. The tight construction makes for a more firm and durable feel and shape. As for the purposes of washing rice, it works perfectly. It is also easy to clean.

It is well made.

Very happy to say that these strainers are very sturdy and well made. The fine mesh is one piece so if you press down a little on things like tuna there are no seams to put pressure on. My last strainer was mesh attached to a metal bottom. Over time the mesh pulled away. These are not large strainers but definitely serve a purpose.

I bought these to rinse rice out before cooking. They are not yuge, but kinda just the right size to dump the cleaned rice into the rice cooker. No rice falls through the mesh. They don't feel super sturdy, there are no side supports on the mesh to reinforce them, so no telling how durable they will be, but they work as intended for now, and there are TWO of them, not ONE like other brands in the same price range, so I call that a win. Since nothing falls thru the fine mesh, they are easy to soap up and rinse off without nasty residue. I'd buy these as a gift for someone too. Packaging prevented shipping damage. 2 thumbs up.

I love these, easy to clean.Perfect for uncooked rice and even for quinoa.Very happy, going to buy for my mom and sister too.

3 stars for cuteness, but usefulness is lacking.Firstly, as others have mentioned, this set is way smaller than described. I got the smaller - 7.48" - size and they're barely 7 inches across and 3 inches tall - teeeeeny. Secondly, the mesh is fine enough for rice and larger grains; quinoa goes right through. The bigger grains are okay, but the smaller ones wound up all over the counter. Thirdly, the sieves feel rather flimsy; without vertical support, the mesh seems easy to dent; longevity is to be seen.

Liked it's sturdiness and size.

This is a great strainer. Easy to clean, nice size, no grains stuck and we like that it sits rather than having a handle. My husband has been making rice every day since he got this bc he now feels like he can make really good rice.

can wash small grains like rice, quinoa without losing it in the running water. However, the product is too flimsy and wouldn’t recommend it
